Things are about to change 4:45 PM

Rainy Days brings the Changing
Don’t ask me anything. I know weather doesn’t show a true character of a person but you must admit, it does changes the mood of a character. For me, I saw both of them happening. I have never seen Ngee Ann Poly flood before so it must be a good experience when that happens and yup, today is the day! My first goof friend in Poly, Ernest, was in a relationship with R. and they only just started. And I rmb clearly, it rain all morning and almost all afternoon. The study area outside our classroom, a few meters away from that, the entire area was flooded. Don’t worry, if you don’t know what im talking about, I got pic to show ya! So in the morning, it was alr flooding in Sch. And R was still bus stop and Ernest has an umbrella. But he so far from the bus stop, like a few blocks away, not to mention a big slope, he has to climb. But since he’s in a relationship, heck that! So he took his umbrella and ran all the way. I send him a msg just to tell him to be careful. The weather doesn’t show his true character but I soon come to realize that he cares for his gf, don’t get me wrong, I didn’t say Love.

So anyway, after 5, we ended lessons and what made me rmb this day very well even though its 2 months ago from now, cos it’s the FIRST TIME, I literally forgotten to go For HI CLUB. Omg! But I have a good reason, I actually found out whats going on in the class that eyes do not see. Gossiping… I know time and time again, our seniors told us not to gossip becos it will kill the ENTIRE class slowly. Well, but gossiping seem inevitable. And for me, I saw how it all began, one gossip to one assumption to one’s hatred to one’s fall and finally… separation begins. After the talk with a few of my classmates, SH, Chin and SC. We went to SIM and decided to try the store opposite the SIM canteen. All I know is, there is like a restaurant but we only ate slightly cold Western food. Trust me, it aint that nice. But it was rather cheap. We talk (gossip) more while I just sit there and listen.

I once told a friend. She ask, ‘we always gossip’. And I said, ‘there is a diff talking to someone and gossiping about someone’. If I saying that guy is very kind-hearted and gentle. He is helpful and always show respect to people. Am I gossiping? No. I would like to say, ‘‘ just talking about him’’. to me, my terms of ‘Gossiping’ is saying something about someone in a very negative way using one’s opinions without confronting the person. In simple terms, I don’t like gossip and don’t like to gossip, I like to talk about people and how they play a part in my Life. Yeah. Simple enough…

Movie Review- Book of Eli
Rating- 8.8/10__ 3.5 stars
Danzel Washington stars as a lone man protecting a sacred book from enemies. Carnegie will do anything to get it, (excellent performance by Gary Oldman). One thing amusing about the film is the fight scenes are simply superb. I really like the one-takes in the movie. the movie is not exactly Christian nor not religious at all. I would say half-way. You might be surprised that movie is better than you think. The plot is about a man named Eli, travelling West to find a safe place for the last bible. But people think that the bible holds powers and they will do anything to get it. Eli is the person who will do anything to protect. The CGI effects are wonderful. Though some things can look very fake, it is actually quite cool to look at it. The twist is nicely done but the thing I didn’t like is it didn’t talk about the war and how everything first started. It just happened and people may get confused about the situation the characters are in. However, overall, the movie is pretty entertaining and first-timers may just like the movie.

First Class Dinner Outing
Woohoo!! Its now Sept and I still remember when our Poly class went for the first class dinner outing ever!! We went to IMM and I was telling Shao Hui that we wanted something a little cheaper this time. You’ll be surprised at how much we can spent in a day. So ok, $10 for dinner, not so bad, I think. Ernest was wearing his glasses and at first sight, he really looked retarded. Shhhh, don’t tell him this. At that time, I don’t really know much of my friends so I think it’s a good time to bond. I wanna thank the person who organized that outing cos I kinda forgotten who, but if she/he does see this, I wanna thank you for that dinner outing.

So we ate at the food place near the Jap restaurant. I cant find words to describe the place. So we all ordered the almost same dishes and drinks. Then there was a time, when we were playing with our food, like putting all the yucky sauce altogether. Then we asked who wanna eat it. Omg. Its so freaking disgusting. But Shao hui dare to eat it. I got a pic on it. Shoot, dam disgusting!
We later went to Daiso Always $2. Then I never thought my whole class is like kids, literally.

They played around the entire Daiso store, wearing all kinds of clothes and crap. We even bought some funny stuff. But for me, well, I just take pic and watch. Then we wanted to find a place to just chat, but couldn’t. so we went up to an empty space and took some pic of the class. It quite weird cos we take the pic with our laptops along. After everything, we went home cos we still have sch tmr.

PS: did you know Sept 5 on Friday was my last dinneer outing with T1A2? well, omg. im gonna miss the times...

Movie Review- The Karate Kid (2010)
Rating- 8.5/10__3 stars
Great performance by Jackie Chan and Jaden Smith. It is Jaden’s first time being the lead actor and he has done pretty well. Good use of slow-motion but some fighting sequences are just too shaky. The first hour was just terrible and unrealistic, I mean, which girl stares at a stranger the whole time? I think China girls have better things to do. And which boys would wanna bully and fight because of a girl? China people have 2 things, study hard or train hard. Why would they fight with strangers? Its so dramatic. And the part where they kissed, do they even know what they are doing!?? They’re so young. I really cant stand that part. But other than that, the rest of the movie starts to get real good. The development of characters is clearly seen as Jake (Smith) learns what is real Kung Fu. It got me wondering why the title is Karate Kid while the Jake is learning Kung Fu? Should have just name the title Kung Fu Kid instead. Produced by both of Jaden’s parents, I guessed a lot of effort is put into the film. And the last fighting scene was just wonderful. Most credit is given to it. It wasn’t a spirited fight but it was darn close. That moment kept me on the edge. Overall, I think this film is best shown to kids.

Happy Birthday! 3:09 PM

Happy Birthday, Alan!
Yay! First thing first, why on EARTH am I posting something so long ago even though this is about 3 months ago? Well, I got 2 Ans. First, im a dam slow blogger. Second, when im going through my Pictures, I told myself, ‘oh ya, I forgotten about Alan’’, also decided to post this on.

We actually wanted to give Alan a surprise birthday. So DY went to get the cake and everything else. I was the cameraman. So we called Alan at a timing and ask him to bring some thing for some bicycle thingy. So when we come out, we can ‘ambush’ him. but that’s the plan! The real thing isn’t what u think. We called Alan, ok, cool, then we ask him to come down. Ok, everything is going well. Then we kept looking at the lift to see if it reaches the 5th floor? I don’t know. But when it comes down, we will hide. It went up. We hid. Then oh crap!!! IT’S THE MUM!!!!!! Shit, we have been found out. But we thought nothing will happen. Then we waited. Then shoot! Alan came down by the stairs becos he suspected something alr. Oh man!! Cannot ambush him!!! becos his mum contacted him that something was going to happen to him. so he came down to avoid us. Omg! We were so close man!!

So we tried to beat the cake to him but we kinda failed. Hello! We were so freaking obvious la! But we did manage to ‘take him down’. So ok, after that, all of us get a bite of the cake and we went to play pool. And yay! I managed to beat 2 people, I think it Jun-ster & CS. Haha. I got a new way of recording, try putting the camera on the pool table and follow the white ball. I tell you, it looked super epic and cool.

Anyway, before all that, something did happen, something pretty emotional and deep. Im pretty glad I managed to share part of me to one of my friends, Shaun, yes, our POlar bear. Im glad I can talk a little more than just ‘Our lives’ stories. If you don’t mind me, my friends, im gonna say everything. Winston, Alan and Shaun wanted to ask me to go for a job. Well, I alr had such an encounter so I somewhat know what to say. Sounds like a MLM job but they insisted its not a MLM. Well, im not trying to talk against MLMs but rather, cos I still have sch and the job might hinder my studies. No matter what you say, indirectly it does hinder my studies. My mum once asked me a Qn, do u think Education comes first or just making money? Well, cos obviously, when we find a job, we normally look at the pay. I know many people would say making money cos yeah, money is important. But also, Education is also important. Then again I stress some may agree, some disagree. Its okay, I respect all your choices, but personally, I find Education more important. I can learn something valuable rather than make a lot of money and still be the idiot I am now.

So my friends were quite shocked and asked me why don’t I choose such a good job. I mean we can earn more than $2000 per month and its only our first job. How good a deal is that?! So I began talking to my friends about my views and how I view attitude more than affluence (riches). But Winston still think he can convince me to the job, so he talked me in Alan’s, when we got out, reached sch, at the bus stop, even when we are playing Pool. All my friends were getting ‘sian’ becos of it, hahah. I knew for only a moment, I somehow got a feeling I can out-talk their instructor. I don’t mean to brag, but when I look at how desperate Winston is to get me to the job, I knew, his mind could not understand but only just want me to the job. That’s all. I get to talk to Shaun and told him im a slightly different friend and do stupid stuff but not for stupid reason. He also agrees with it. Then sooner or later, during Pool, we had another great time and hopefully, I get to see my secondary Sch friends again.

I wanna thank God cos my friends always talk on a normal basis, like hows life and hows things going and rarely or not once, we talk about our opinions and get deeper into our lives. At that time, I thought it was all fun and games. But later, I know, its not just all that, Life is pretty harsh and yes, its Real. Hopefully, when I see my friends again, we can start to talk deeper things and make the conversation more meaningful. Well, im gonna make an effort to.

Movie Review- Ninja Assassin
Rating- 8.8/10__ 3.5 stars
From the producers of Matrix and Speed Racer, the Wachoski brothers have done a wonderful job for this movie. Even though blood is excessive in this one, the action scenes are epic. Though some scenes are pretty fast, the slow motion used is very nicely done. It has a rather cliché storyline but unlikely, most movies, this one is nicely delivered. It talks about Raizo (Rain) being by an undefeatable clan. He begins assassinating people becos his ‘father’ says so. Not wanting to anger him, Raizo heeds his every command. Until he falls in love with woman who doesn’t want to kill anymore. She convinces there is more to Life than killing and Raizo is puzzled by it. After her death, Raizo soon came to realize what she really meant. Upon rebelling to the clan, Raizo is being hunted down by the rest of his people. I really like the road scene where ninjas try to kill Raizo. The only thing that I didn’t quite like was, when the master died too quickly. At first, he was way stronger than Raizo then, Raizo got angry and kill him within seconds. Sometimes, I just cant stand fast deaths, especially the last enemy. I watched it again with my cousins and sadly, they pointed out all the mistakes. Some scenes were too dark and the first scene was awesome to show how fast a ninja is. Then When Rain fight the ninjas, they somehow seemed lousier. One ninja can kill about 8 people in minutes and Rain kill more than 5 ninjas in a few minutes. Still, I would recommend this movie to all action-goers. If you can stand intense violence and blood, you may just like this film after all.
