A New Year 2:42 PM

Chinese New Year

The first day of Chinese New Year. Woohoo!! Im soo hyped up. On the way there, as the sunlight shone, my sis shirt was like… shining. Really, u could see the reflections We went to our Grandma house first. My dad wanted to get there by 9, but we were like 45 min late. Then I think, ‘oh man, its so bad. Cant believe we are soooo late’. Then when we got there, we are the only ones there. No one came yet. My grandma was still putting on make up. WTC man. We had porridge for breakfast. Ahhhh, grandma porridge is always the best :D Can never get tired of it.

So as usual, we wished all our family members. Of course, we joked around here and there by saying ‘love you love you’, instead of ‘happy new year’. We took a lot of pic and yeah, me too.

Then we head to someone’s house. Seriously, I forgotten the name. We call him Uncle Bian. He got this really big house. We saw our cousins there too. They had really good Dried Mango. I mean, we totally hogged the container. I know its seriously bad manners… I only ate less than 10. And my mum bro was trying to get some also. Yeah, they are all pretty lame but still very funny. Like I thought them I missed their dog then they come to me, hug me and also ‘cry’ to say they missed their dog too. Lol! So this time, I wanna try something different. Uncle Bian’s daughter was Yi Yan. And she was like supppper quiet. So I went to talk to her, u know, typical Qns. So she was Sec 1 in Dunman HIGH. She don’t want me to say Dunman SEC. she’s in Infocom tech cos she likes computers. And yeah, she’s another anime person. So my cousin and my sis can get along very well. We were just trying the skateboard. U know the skateboard which need to ‘wriggle’ your way to move. Yeah, it seems that she just started practicing. And u know what really cool. I wanna act smart so I told my cousin I can skate (I have no experience in skateboard, seriously….) then I said, ‘just move your back legs and you’ll be fine. So I tried it… omg! I actually did it. I moved like 5 meters before I fell but that’s not the point. I actually moved!!! Wooo, I was so happy. Haha! Pretty stupid eh? But hey, its an achievement. And yeah, Yi Yan can play the piano also. She has been practicing for about 1.5 years. I think she told me she was grade 5. As for me, well, I only finished grade 1, haha. Hey, she plays pretty well man. Wayyy better than me.

Then we went to see Uncle Bian car, omg. It’s a sports car!!! Super cool. It even have an open top. How awesome is that? So we took some pic on it. And yeah, I get to sit with Uncle Bian in the car. It was one of the best times ever. we get to pose on the car also but I have no pic on it. Its on my camera. Which one of us have our own pose, haha, pretty lame. But to Yi Yan, it was like a daily stuff. So I told her didn’t she liked all these branded stuff and she even have a portable Gameboy… or whatever u call it. It has 2 screens, up and down. So she told me she didn’t want much of it. She just want some anime stuff and computer, yeah. A very digital person though… after that, we went for lunch at my grandma sis house. We always go there for Chinese New Year for lunch.

I tried to rmb the place since I was starting to know the importance of memory work. My dad knows the place pretty well even though he only goes there once a year. I still rmb… 10 floor at… dam it. Something street, I forgotten AGAIN. So I saw this green chameleon. Its like sitting there on the table. I touched but it didn’t run away. Omg. Sooo cool!! It seems like it has been a pet for so long that its not afraid of people. The whole skin is so spikey and sharp. Then I wanted to carry it back to the cage but I was just so freaking scared it will scratch me. So my mum brought it back and yea, it did scratch! Woah, the lunch was magnificent. I ate 2 bowls of Laksa man. We were also watching at Chinese TV show and it got some Wushu performance. Btu we didn’t stay long. My mum and I were really tired so we wanted to go back. I slept in the car. Later in the night, I got another house to go to…

So when I got back home, I didn’t sleep. My bro continued watching True Lies. And I went to check my comp until 5.30. then we gotta go. I know the place this time… err, somewhere at Ang Mo Kio Road. So we reached there, wished the people and jump to watching TV. We were watching Shanghai Noon. The dinner was excellent too. It was some fried rice and I add pepper plus hotdog and so on. I grabbed a big bunch of it and finished everything, so yeah. And there was even Red Bean soup. I wanted it to be sweeter but the lady didn’t allow me. We watched Shanghai Noon only half way and my mum wanted to go back alr. So yeah… anyway, it was a really fun day. The only thing is… what on earth am I gonna do tmr? But I try not to worry about that. Woohoo, now can just go back home and rest.

2nd day

Oh man. Out of the 3 days, this is the most boring day. I have absolutely nothing to do. I just sit on my comp, maybe playing a few nonsense games and after a while I got bored. Omg, boredom is the worst feeling to have, worse than failure. Cos u just don’t know what to do and u feel lost. Yeah, so played some games in Newgrounds and later on in the evening, I went out with Boon. We went to Tm to book tickets for Percy Jackson cos im watching with my family tmr. I know the Sweet talk bubble tea was super Expensive man!! A milk tea is $1.50 and with flavoring is $1.80. I think I might as well as buy once a long while man. So we walked around boon bought some Snacks form KFC. We were comparing which price from the Snackers Meal is the most worth it. We talked about movies as usual and some values of YJC and how boon hated the longgg lectures. So boon couldn’t stay long as his relative is coming to his house so we went back home shortly. Other than that, nothing else!! Oh man, I hope tmr would be a better day.


3rd day

Crappy bug! It’s the most rushing day throughout Chinese New Year. At first, we went to watched Percy Jackson & the Lightning Thief (review is below). Then when we came back, Ivan and Francine came (sis friends). They brought along their PS3 but I didn’t get a chance to play. Then boon came to my home and we talked about Friday Service. And since I promise Shaun we were gonna watch a movie. We thought about watching True Legend. Now comes the super rush…

Shaun was alr at the MRT waiting for us. But boon said he wanted to visited his tuition teacher to wish him. So we then to Bedok MRT and went down. Then I stopped. Wait, why didn’t we see Shaun? So I called him, hoping that he could follow us to boon teacher house for visiting. But Shaun was alr at the platform. Oh mi gosh! Why didn’t we see him. Then I thought, maybe

Shaun could Q for the tickets at TM for us. So I called Shaun and we agreed on it. Then I rushed up the MRT station. But I alr saw Shaun OUT of the Control Gate Staion. And yes, when u leave, u have to pay the money even though it’s the same stop. So Shaun was alr out so I thought, okay, might as well go together. Then we rushed to Boon flat but Boon told us he was alr in his tuition teacher house and he would meet us at the MRT. WTC. We were just there!! Omg. I don’t believe this. So Shaun and I were like perspiring all over. So I told Shaun lets walk slowly to the MRT. Wooo! We were exhausted. Then we planned to watch True Legend at the 4.25pm timing. Then we got to the MRT. But we missed the train so we got to wait for 6 min. then I told Shaun, why not take a train to Kembangan MRT and take the train opposite to TP. Why? Cos I wanted the air-con. So we took a train there. I was quite right. When we got there, the Train to Pasir ris did come but one problem. The train came first and next was our train. So we were waiting for the doors to open so we could run to the other side. The doors opened, we RAN like Xiao! As we were about to get there, the doors closed. Omg. A failed attempt! Which is bad. Cos we got another 5 min for another train to come. Then we planned our plan. I got buy bubble tea cos I love bubble tea Shaun Q for the tickets and I’ll pay for boon ticket.

But Shaun bought boon tickets in the end, ahh, so nice. So boon came like 5 minlate but the movie haven’t start yet, its all ads. So we got the seats and yeah… after the movie we went home… exhales* what a day today!

Funny how the 3 days seemed so different. first day is the best, second day most boring, third day most rushed. Haha. Well, it has been a good 3 days :)


Movie Review- Percy Jackson & the Lightning Thief

Rating- 8.9/10__4 stars

Director Chris Columbus have impress us again. The Harry Potter director is normally very grave and solemn but this movie displays a magical and adventurous journey. Lightning God Zeus believe his lightning bolt stolen and accuse Poseidon’s son, Percy of stealing it. Since they are rivals, they wanted to rage war. So poor Percy have to find the thief and retrieve the bolt. This movie reminds me of Clash of the Titans (old). Where snake-haired woman turns people to stone and paying money to cross the underworld. The action is incredible and the computer effects was very well blended. It gives a hint that size really does matter. I like how the action is from start to end, there was really never a dull moment. And the black dude was super funny. The movie is highly recommended for both adults and children. The only bad thing was sometimes the action can be very shaky. Overall, it is magnificently enjoyable.


PS: im currently in love with the song, Pray. dam i cant download from anywhere yet so the only place is Chris blog :( but i would like to thank Chris for putting the song there. haha.
i can written a new song for my cell, hoping to share with them soon but there's not gonna be cell for TWO weeks so i dont know really.
next, im learning guitar form one of my cell members, Ben and i tell u. its super hard... i dont know why Boon said it was the easiest instrument cos i find it so hard just to press the strings. Havent even started strumming and shifting. my fingers hurtsss.... omg. Ouch, i really wonder how someone can last through a song without his/her fingers getting sore... o_O
