Awesome Overseas Trip 1:52 PM

Before everything begin, i would lime to prepare u all first. its going to be a lot lot lot of words and pic but mostly words. the entire trip of my outing in china. u must have a lot of time and pindeed patience and read everything, which is not a must. sorry for the late update, i keep getting distracted even trying to type the words. and yes, i mised out a lot of activities while doing thi. i'll update again on how good my months have been. so anyway, this is longest post ever. i dont think there will be any such post like this again. have fun reading!

China Trip

1st day

Ready to set off. Message to my pals farewell, but not goodbye lah. I aint gonna die. Hooray, I got the window seat. Yippee! However, I didn’t sleep the entire night, literally haha. First time ah. So I got off the plane, I knocked out. so I didn’t see the plane take off, awww. When we landed, the timing is the same as SG. A guy named Along came to bring us to our dad’s place.

On our way to his dad’s apartment, we saw dad! Ooo, nice timing. So we got inside and we went to take a nap. For me, I did actually sleep. My grandma was being a nag. She told me to faster sleep as she was sleeping. Then she walks around for about an hr and ask me why am I not sleeping. After half hour, she came out and saw me and ask why am I still not sleeping. She said, must go sleep as she is sleeping soon. About 10 min, she came out again, sooo, I had to just lie on the bed… oh boy, I cant imagine my whole family staying together… :| we went for shopping in the evening. Bought bubble tea!! Cool huh? Even china, there is bubble tea. Haha. Means to say, I wont go desperate for bubble tea when I come back to SG. And my grandma is soo blur. We came out of the shopping centre that was next to the hotel and she asks where the hotel was. Haha, we was laughing like nuts.

Then we went for dinner and it is said, we must wash the dishes with hot water before we eat. I don’t know why, maybe it’s a culture thing. But before that, we went to this Video store. The saleswoman knows my dad very well. When she saw us, she was shocked to see zack and I were twins. We bought so much movies, even those that were JUST released on SG, the store alr have the DVD. Sooo cool! We got a whole basket of movies. We also chat with the saleswoman. My gosh, she was so young. One was 19 and another one that talked to us was 18, and we were 17… Again, haha, kidding. So we got back and watched My Bloody Valentine. The movie is sooo nvm, I’ll talk about it later.

2nd day

Ahhh… a new start. We went to eat breakfast. Our dad wasn’t around. grandma wanted to buy some other noodle. We all ordered Wanton noodle. Then she noticed we all buying the same thing, she changed her order to ours. Then she couldn’t finish cos the bowl was quite big. Then she throw some of the food and zack and I. ai ya… what to do??? She’s my gandma after all. Still gotta accept it.

Then we watch Dead Snow. Omg… that’s was the most sick and lousiest movie in my life. Its total non sense and it soooo not fun to watch. The story sucks, action stinks, gore is above extreme. Boon, don’t ever watch this. Can die one. After lunch, Along brought us to this place. Its like a whole areas of shopping malls. We called it ‘3000 shops’. We heard that people can shop for a week and still cannot finish shopping. We were finding for stretchy pants. We search almost evry shop on the 4th and 5th floor. Then Along told us most clothes are among the 1st,m 2nd and 3rd floor. Omg. So much for finding… so we went down and searched. We shopped and search for 3 hrs. its true we did bought some shorts and pants but no stretchy pants. Its like near impossible to find. So after so long, we still couldn’t find it. So we decided to go back home. Sigh…

We watched Where got Ghost with my family. I guess they liked the movie. Cos I see them laughing and sometimes, they would clap too. So yeah, guess they understand hokkien very well. We slept at midnight. That was the earliest time for me throughout the trip, seriously. We slept on the sofa, it was a L shape. My bro slept on one side, I slept of the other. And err, our blankets was super big and thick. Haha

3rd day

Omg, we’re late. Along is bringing zack and I to go cut hair. He says that there is a place where the cost is really affordable and best of all, Along knows the place quite well. Even better is… the place is nearby. We took about 15 min to get there but when we get back, it was less than 5 min. I just said I wanted my hair short but not bald. The weather was extremely cold today cos one door was open and we are shivering alr. We paid like about $3 for the 2 of us. Super cheap right?

Then we went to dad’s company. Amazing, it was actually very convenient. It was next to his apartment. So from his company and his home, its like walking distance. When we got there, we must greeted the people and introduced ourselves. Took some pic around the place. It was pretty high. We sat down and waited for my dad. Then my dad told me he is moving to a new office. So we went to his new company office.

we had steamboat for lunch. it was awesome. first time in 6 months. and i love the food there.

The wind was crazily cold. As we drove to the new building, my hands were nearly frozen. We went to the 4th floor. The place was still under renovation. The place was just stone and dust. Everywhere was very empty. So my dad was thinking where his office would be. Or we were just looking around. The place was real huge but empty. I went to the balcony and the wind was strong. I walked out, after 4 min of pic taking, I went in. it was that cold. We went back to the first building err, I don’t know what it is but before that, we were planning where our sis will stay if she lives in china. She’s gonna do Chinese medicine. So we went to the 19th floor and we looked around. I took a video but it stopped half way cos I got no batt. So for the rest of the day, I didn’t take any pic.

While going back, dad wanted to stop to see the shops. Well, if he does lives in his new office, he got to know where to shop and which shop sells the best/ cheapest things. So we went to this Outlet mall. Down there, there is a lot of clothes. So my dad wanted me to find for stretchy pants. We searched for 1 hr, found nothing. Then zack and I went to find other things like some shoes and shirts. We brought some comfortable track pants and finally!! We found stretchy pants!!! I was so happy. But I looked at the price… shit! Its $300 minimum. The average price was around $450. So my dad told me I was right. There were stretchy pants for guys but would we wanna buy them? Guess not :( then my grandparents came. And yes, they nearly got lost in the mall. Then my grandma have difficulty choosing what shoes to get. Then I told my dad I alr liked a pair of shoes at some store, crap, I don’t believe I forgotten it :| but all I know is that, the shoes I bought were super light. I can kick someone’s face with two legs and still land without falling. Its freaking light. 2 shoes were even lighter than one of my sch shoes. Cool eh? So my bro saw it and he also wanted to buy. My grandpa came and he also bought it. My dad looked at me and said he also wanted a pair. Omg! I just helped everyone with the shoe problem. Haha! It was growing dark, so we left for dinner. Seriously, we bought a lot of stuff back, about 7-8 bags, biggg bags.

We ate dinner at this village place. Its full of village stuff, means very simple food. A lot of veg and rice. We ordered white wine cos it was my mum birthday!!! Hugs and kisses to her!!!! Dam, but I didn’t give her a present. Btw, the wine was 52% alcohol. Omg! It was strong than XO. Almost 50% of the food was veg, however, Im not spoilt eater I have no eating problems so im fine with it. So we got home and watch Gamer and Murderer. And yeah, we slept at 2am. To me, that’s extremely late. O_o

4th day

Crappy bug! I cant believe I woke up at 10.30 again! Its was freaking late. We went for breakfast-lunch, branch. Then we went to a Tea shop. It was where my dad bought tea from. We looked at how they served tea and the techniques of making tea good. Then I wanted to get a USB cable for my camera. I seemed to have lost it. Along was very good. He came, he bargained. From 30 plus dollars (china money), we got 25 dollars. Means to say the USB cable only costed SG $5. Cheap eh? And the quality is about the same.

So then we saw this incredibly cool light device. It has a compass, a magnifying glass, a bright white light and an anti-fake blue light. Oooo, sounds cool man. Don’t worry, I got a pic on it. We thought it was going to be expensive but u go 2 at C $15. Means its about 3 dollars for both. We headed down to the 3000 shops to shop for more clothers. Omg 0_o Just to shorten the story, we bought some gifts, 3 shirts and 2 long pants. As usual, we were all tired. We wanted to go home and rest but my dad suggested we just go for dinner then go bac and rest. So we went to a Claypot rice restaurant. We ordered 2 big bowls of soups, omg. But we cannot drink everything as there were other dishes. Anyway, we got 3 pots of rice and yes, we cant finish everything. We finished the rice though. So we gotta packet some home. We watched Raging Phenoix but the subtitles were wrong so we watch Final Destination 4. And crap, that movie… I don’t kow whether to say it is utter nonsense and unrealistic or just simply too funny that I end up laughing at all the gore. So yeah, then we slept around 1 plus. Sigh… another day to come…

5th day

Woke up at 10.30 again! This day is slightly special. My dad cooked for us breakfast. How nice… but I wanted to cook myself. So I got 2 eggs, some meat and sheese. Yummy, so I cooked them together and guess what? I… freaking burnt it. But it wasn’t really all black. 20% was not. Nevertheless, I had to eat it. Strangely it was not so bad. But I was not full so I ate cup noodles also. Then my mum watch Pandorum. We just followed her. Wonderfully, even though it was just released in SG. The movie was still in HQ. soon, my mum wanted to go out and shop so we got to pause the movie. We got out and walked around. Our grandparents followed us. Mum bought a new sweater so she can return the old one to your sis. Then something happened.

Grandma told us she was going to the toilet. Knowing her, I thought she will be lost but she said she’ll be fine. So we waited. Then she did not come back. Knowing her well, she tend to lose her sense of direction pretty… easily. So we decided to find her. Grandma said she went to KFC the toilet. But when we got there, we couldn’t find her. WTH. Where on earth is she? So went to bubble tea while looking for her. Mum called grandpa. They said they were at G2000. Really!?! We were very near there. So we went there. Then we got there but couldn’t find her. What on earth man!! We wanted to walk back to the hotel. Mum called grandpa again. They said they were at G2000. Huh! WTC. We were just there. So I quickly ran to G2000. Finally!!!!!! I saw them. I told them we were going back but grandma still haven’t bought anything yet. So she wanted to shop more. Omg, sigh… so we just went to the hotel. We continued watching Pandorum but half way, we got to paused the movie AGAIN cos we were going for lunch.

There was a place called Overseas Dragon. The food there was marvelous. They were really really cheap. Hot & spicy soup was S$1 and pork cutlet was S$1.20. the entire lunch meal for 6 people was about S$16… then we went for shopping for quite a while. Bought a lot of equipment that mum wished to bring back to SG. I don’t know how, maybe check in or something. Got back and finally! Can continue Pandorum. My mum turning into a movie person. We’re like watching 2 movies or more a day. At night, we watched Sudden Impact.

6th day

Sian, sian, SIAN! Today we’re gonna see our forefathers and sightseeing and blah, blah.we oke up at 10.30. heard that, Journey was 3 hrs going there and 3 hrs coming back. Knowing it will be long, I brought my journal. Means to say, its one heck of a journey. We skipped breakfast and ate lunch.

Sleeping in the Car was inevitable, even when I write, I daydream a lot. After 2 hrs, we got to a petrol station to go to the toilet. The toilet is really freaking omg. There is no cubicle what-so-ever. It was just a long section with sprayers above us. I got a pic. Then we stopped at a lakeside. Saw some cool fishes. Wait, those fishes aren’t cool. Theyr’re just ncie to look at. So many of them and yet, they squeezed into one basin. I worry for lack of air for them. Took many pic around the place. Good time for sightseeing. I even took the lakeside. Aint it nice? Haha

Time for dinner, we went to this seafood place. O mi gosh, it was awesome. There were like live fishes everywhere. Not just fishes, there were huge worms, small sharks, sting ray!! and some crocs, eels and many more. That fishes were like… omg. They were bigger than my dad, who was real big. Then there were fishes that were real long and yes, they were still moving. To u girls, u say its disgusting and ewww, but err, it actually looked pretty cool. The croc were real and yes, they were quite big. As big as me. The clams were large like Xiao. I got a long video on it. Wait till u see the sting ray, it will rock your head out! then we had dinner and yes, the food was served hottt, like directly from the frying pan. The fishes were fresh and outstanding. It was one of the best dinner ever. So we took another look with my grandparents but most of the fishes had been taken away cos u like pick the fishes in the tank and the people will take it out and the cook will, obviously cook them.

We got back home and watched Inglorious Basterds and Vengeance. But halfway, my parents went to sleep so we didn’t finished the movie. We were too tired. Ok, next day next day next day!!

7th day

Woke up at 11, crap! This time, I didn’t eat breakfast and my dad cooked btw. Grandma has been pestering me to eat egg the whole time. So we went for a early lunch. We were going out with my dad’s friends, only 2 anyway. My mum brought this wine, I forgotten the name of it but the alcohol level is close to that of XO. All of us got a glass except for Along cos he was driving. One of my dad friends named Jeremy if im not wrong. He told us he could drink two bottles of that wine and still manage to drive home without any accidents. But now, due to liver problems, he cant even manage half a glass of strong alcohol. As for me…, nah, I… got… a freaking hangover. I drank like about 4 glasses and K.O. my head was spinning, I got a headache but didn’t feel like vomiting so im not so drunk yet.

Strangely, when I got home, I can still watched Vengeance and Magnum Force (another Clint Eastwood movie). My head couldn’t take it but I still endured. We watched another movie but it was super nonsense and lousy that I don’t wished to talk about it.

I went out when it was quiet, I prayed that somehow my head could be healed and I could get back to my life. I waited and waited. I felt the cool breeze just blowing through my entire body. My mind was drifting away. Whenever I close my eyes, I could feel I was in some place different. I could feel the pain slowly eased, it was disappearing every second. Could it be… instant healing? I tried my best not to open my eyes, thinking the moment I opened them, I will be back in the real world. I continued praying and just singing songs in my mind. The pain was beginning to diminish more and more. It came to a point when I felt there was like 15% of pain. I said out, ‘I pray all this in Jesus name, your most precious name’… and… I opened my eyes. I looked around. Washing machine, frosted windows, railing… crap. I was back to the real world. Then I noticed… there was no pain. I tried my luck and hit my head softly a few times. In was true, the pain was gone. But I cannot take it for granted, I still need rest. As I about to go back to the living room, I turned to the sky and said, ‘Thank you, lord’. Pretty awesome eh? :D

We watched Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. Yes, it is a very old movie but I must say, I really really enjoyed it. I was laughing almost all the time. The movie was a musical btw. The comedy was simply da best! It beats many movies up till today in terms of entertaining the audience. Without a doubt, I put it in my collection. Then I slept at around 1 plus, yeah, its very late to me.

8th day

One week has past and this time, we woke up at 9.30am. woohoo. Its an improvement man! Lots of things happened today, both good and bad. Let me tell you…

I drank some sweet stuff for breakfast. Its milk tea and oak meal combined. Trust me, its super sweet. But since I got a sweet tooth, it tasted a little sweet to me. We were taking a train to Hong Kong. Yes, by train. I got ready and we set off, all of us. Here’s the thing at the station. Its like an airport. Need to bring passport, check luggage, write crap and stuff. And furthermore, its just a regular MRT station and we got to do soo much. Means to say, we come, bring luggage, and passport, write down the Arrival and Departure Card. Stamp your passport, and when u enter, you got to buy a ticket like in a MRT station cos your not a permanent resident, tap the card and walk up and… sigh, wait for the train. Understand? Its like airport stuff + MRT stuff = china train station.

We were going to Kwoloon Bay so we need to change trains. If you think SG trains was complicated, trust me, u aint see nothing yet. When you come here, you’ll be lost the moment the trains leaves. There is orange line, red line, light blue line, dark blue line, purple line, yellow line, green line, you name it. My bro came to me. He told me he wanted to throw up. I told him to hold. We went to toilet, he told me should he throw up now. I told him until we reached our stop and if he feels like it, he can vomit. Omg, I gave the stupidest respond. We went onboard the train. Then half-way, my bro said something to my mum. Then suddenly, he vomited on the train. My first respond was Shit! Then everyone around us were like, scram!! It was freaking disgusting. Everyone stared at us. And I was his bro. my mum was soo shocked and so was my dad. At that time, I was like, F man. I alr knew it was going to happen. I actually knew he would vomit but I stupidly thought him to wait. For F-ing crying out loud, he vomited so bad until his throat hurts and he has problems eating. Whose fault was it? Obviously, me! Cos I could have just prevented that and my bro wouldn’t be so embarrassed. I wanted to just hug my bro and say I was sorry but I couldn’t do it. It was so hard. I tried to encourage him by telling him stories and changing the topic. I felt so bad and sorry for zack. I never wanted this…

So we went for lunch and zack couldn’t eat the food he liked becos of his throat. Well, I had Hot&Spicy soup with noddles. Yummy eh? The bowl was super big and the soup bowl also. The fried rice was a little too salty and dry. And lunch was super expensive, it was like paying Sg prices. Btw, you know the time when I said about china girls? I said if I were to compare the girls. The number of pretty girls seen in church alone would beat every girl I see in China. Well, apparently, this day proved me wrong.

Zack and I also wasted our time on counting people that are not wearing long pants or long sleeve. To our surprise, we counted 44 in one afternoon. We call them, The Darers. But 70% of them are students, but who cares, they are still around us. We got back and ihad to stand throughout the trip since there was no space to seat. My legs were crazily tired.

We went for dinner and oh boy… dinner was so spicy and chili. My mouth was dying fast. My entire mouth burned the whole night. Got a pic on it. Loo how much chili they out. we watch The Dead Pool (again another Cling Eastwood movie) and zack went to bed early like about 11. He was really tired. As for me, well, I slept at 1 cos im writing this journal of mine still….

9th day

Omg. I woke up at 11pm. What a day to start. Means I slept for 9 hrs and zack 12 hrs. dad was off to work so.. we were free the whole day. So mum, zack and I watched Coraline. I love that movie. Then we went for lunch. Sigh, our grandma is so paranoid, she asks grandma to stand outside the restaurant to make sure we don’t get lost. And the hotel is just a stone throw away from the restaurant. Obviously, we didn’t get lost! Eat at the Overseas Dragon We went to buy lunch for mum. She wanted KFC, the only prob is we don’t know how to order in Chinese. So our grandma helped us. We were free the entire time so we watch another movie, Halloween 2. Omg, that movie…. Cough* not as good as the first and its very vulgar, veryyy, especially the main character.

So cut the long story short, we went for dinner. We ate this shark fin soup but I didn’t really like anything except for the shark fin itself. The rest taste real soft and slimey, ewwww. You don’t wanna know the total bill, can cost a heart attack. My dad wanna watch a Chinese movie when we get back so we watched Accident. After that, we got ready to sleep. But zack and I watch Jennifer’s Body cos we wanted to sleep late. The movie stinks. Its like sooo nonsense. Yup, it’s a short day. Cant believe we watch 4 movies in 1 day.


10th day

Oh shoot! Woke up at 11 again. This time, I don’t know what happen but it seems like I have no appetite of eating anything. I don’t know why, maybe ite becos I don’t feel like eating anyting. And after a.5 hrs, we got to go eat lunch. The food was WTC. The wine they serve come from many ways. The wine can come from bee, worms, snakes… MAGGOTS, OMG! O_o I can vomit man. They look kinda horrible. I got some pic to show. Don’t freak out. and yeah, I didn’t eat much cos I… don’t know. Just don’t fell like eating. So after lunch, we went to the video store one last time to get new movies. We searched like nuts but not a lot of new movies came out. can u imagine??? Avatar movie was alr in DVD even though it was just released in SG. But I wont buy it la! I wanna it in the big screen. Haha. If I get the DVD my dad wont want me to watch with my friends…. So yeah, u get what I mean. Got Phobia 2 also. Managed to get some Chinese movies also, but in the end, I couldn’t get everything I want.

Anyway, my mum and grandma went for a massage so yea, Arlong, my grandpa, zack and I went to drink coffee and eat some bread. Man, this will totally kill our appetite. And the coffee was so expensive, it was S$2. Again, we couldn’t finish dinner. And this time, there was a lot of left-overs. Its like we order the food and all we could finish is the rice. So we got to packet the food again!! We got to start packing our luggage cos we’re leaving so we didn’t watch a movie. Wait, I think we did… yeah, we watched Unforigven (again by Clint Eastwood) but don’t worry, I aint a Clint Eastwood fan, I just like to quote him. We wanted to watch Astro Boy but the quality sucks. Finally, I really cant wait to get home…

Last Day

Hooray!! The last day in China. We got most of the stuff ready. Grandma wants to cook breakfast for me so I cant say no. I think we have a lot of things to pack. We came to china with 6 luggage but leaving with 9 luggage. How much do you think we buy? Wayyy man. I also wonder how we are gonna carry them. So we got almost ready and set off. We got 1 van and a car to fit everything. We got to the airport and yeah we left. In my opinion, I don’t really think I’ll miss China. I’ll miss the video store alright, ahha. Oh… I miss my sis, I miss my friends cos I just spent 10 days with my family. I think I deserve some time with my friends. I miss my dogs. I badly miss my bunny!! My white snow small bunny!! Hmm, it somehow reminds me of Lester, nvm. Anyway, I got on the plane and im touching up on my journal. I bet my blog is gonna be filled with words man… so after, a long flight, im like landing now and will be joining all you friends shortly. It has been a good longgg outing…

I must thank God most of all as he does the miracles even in little things. If u know one thing, did u notice I’ve never complaint about bad weather or rainy days, not even once, notice it? Yeah, and though all the bad times, did u know that in the end, everything turned out smoothly and well? Through the times, when I thought it was boring, I actually felt excited, notice it? Well, that’s becos God still works in my life. Only near the end, I notice it. I was thinking whether the trip was going to be tiring. Cos after china trip, after 2 days, I will be having church camp. But never have I regretted the trip with my family. Its true… there have been moments where we feel real annoyed and pai sei. To think, if I can put all the pic I have taken and video too, it would have been a miracle too. Haha God plays the biggest role and I just owe him BIG TIME!

Movie Review-Daybreakers

Rating- 7.9/10_3 stars

So far, this is the highest NC16 movie ever. It even beats Death Race (2006). Mean to say, its very close to M18 but not M18. The action is good and story is slightly unique but as the story continues, the plot slowly goes out of point. The storyline is vampires rule the world but there is shortage of blood as there are very little humans left. The researchers aim to find a substitute for the blood. But Edward soon finds out that there is a cure. I understand the cure how what I don’t understand is how they managed to get the cure. The random scares are a little useless and irreverent. The ending totally ruins it. It was as if the people are back to square one. I didn’t like the ending. And its strange when vampires use guns to attack other than jump or run faster to capture the humans. So this B- vampire movie was just disappointing.

Unforgettable moments = surveying the video store, seeing the ‘live’ seafood, first encounter with Overseas Dragon restaurant, watching Coraline, drinking milk tea with Oatmeal, my bro vomit, healing of my headache and lastly, the nights of sleeping on a sofa.
