Coach Day

Its been an awfully long time since I went back to secondary school. Well apparently, lots of things happen today so prepared. Its my first time coming back to sch that month. I made a promise to God. If I cant feel that he wants me to stay in this CCA. I will leave and NEVER come back. But I can feel him, I pray for a great presence and a touch from God. I don’t want to be like my bro, thinking that he can touch lives when God doesn’t want him to be there. I have heard that, when God moves us, there is nothing we can do that will change the past. But if God does not move us, then let us not move from that place and basically, that was what I need.
Miss goh was so happy to see me, I don’t know why. So we talked for a while until the juniors have completed their training. There was a part when we are supposed to do a lion dance to our coach but we kinda forgotten the gift part so it was dam awkward when we did a lion dance but gave nothing to coach. But lets skip this part.

So we had pizza and loads of drinks. I went around eating and managed to talk to some of the juniors. And soon after, it came to a point when I saw something so outrageous… there was a sec 1 girl, sitting on a rectangular block, facing the basketball and she was eating alone. It captures my attention when something is out of the ordinary. So I lean against a pillar, hoping that I can pluck up my courage and talk to her but couldn’t. dam it. So she was just sitting there and I… was just standing there. Soon, the other juniors called her over to the fitness corner.

Finally, I was relieved so she wont be alone. Then the seniors or I will say my Badge, they came and acted like her. Meaning, they sat down on the block and pretended the sec 1 girl was emo. And the way they act as if, the sec 1 girl was dying for attention. I just felt so WTC. One of those times, makes me wanna bash them up. I couldn’t take it anymore, plus the other juniors left her after knowing they cant talk to her, so I went over and tried to talk to her.

Well, the first few minutes were really bad and we got a few awkward silence. Then after a short while, we were called to gather for dismissal. So didn’t really spend long with her, which is good cos I thought I really messed up the conversation. Then I felt so bad, what if she thinks im irritating and maybe she wants to be alone but I didn’t give her that and oh crap. Yeah… Was telling God if I have done the right thing. But there was one thing left to do.

Since I thought I cant do much to help, I do the one ting that I long and pray to do, I stand up and talk to the juniors. And I followed the speech originated from Facing the Giants. First, I start by asking if anyone could answer which wushu team was the best the past 10 years, I would give them $10. The past 5 years, I will give $5 and 2, will give $2. True enough, not one can answer me, except the last Qn. Then I ask, if no one can answer me, then whats the point training to be the ‘best’ when people don’t recognized the best?

And there were more Qns but next time. The point is, I completely went against everything that they learnt about studies, went against fate, went against about getting championship and focus on attitude. So much so, my teacher had to end off the talk soon. But yeah, I guess I have said everything from my mind. So I told God, ‘ I did my part, I went off my comfort zone and it went… terrible (assuming I did a bad job)! And fine, I did what im supposed to do and now… im outta here’.

So I ignored everyone and walked out, until someone called me. It was the sec 1 girl. We had a short chat an she was telling me how touched she was to hear from me and she kept saying she’s about to cry. Haha! Funny how I thought I messed up so much and assumed it all went down to waste and out comes this little girl who gave words of affirmation. Appears that she really wanted to get to know me more. So we exchanged numbers and we kinda msg the whole night. Was watching New Moon but the movie got so boring, I msg the sec 1 girl instead. Wont say names cos im not even in love with her and its bad to talk about her in this blog.

All I knew, at the end of the day, God was merciful and I guess im allowed to stay in my CCA. Apparently, no matter how much we screw up in Life, God always had the power to turn our life around and let us see the unbelievable coming true. I don’t know about you but I believe my God is a very very merciful God.

Movie Review- The Informant
Rating- 8.6/10__4 stars

Actually, I got bored watching the first 30 min of the film. I know Matt Damon is the informant and what makes this movie so good to watch. Then overtime, when problems rising and things getting out of hand, I figured the cast have very good acting skills. NEVER underestimate the power of lying. It gets so strong, not even a judge would like to believe you. Matt Damon plays an informant giving and receiving information from people. He tries to get more money because of a price-listing problem. However, as more money comes in, he becomes more greedy and he began to use his skills to fool others. He betrayed his friends, betrayed the FBI and fooled his company. Maybe its because my mum sat next to me and explains when the film continues which is why I understand and love the movie. although the English is little profound, I think many people will understand as they continue watching the movie.

PS: now im getting more free since my holidays are here. cant believe its alr FEB!!! maybe i can post a LITTLE bit more when im free.... shit, i hope.

Outing with my Cousins

Outing with Cousins

Its still in the holidays and finally, I get to spend some time with my cousins. Whenever I go out with them, I always see miracles. And its not those kind of small miracles, there are some big miracles there too. We went to Sentosa again. But its been a long time since I’ve been there. We went there to swim there in the sea water and I was dam scared cos I always think if we go too far, there will be sharks there. Yea, stupid me. So even went for kayaking…

They got a new game called Lunge, a game I have seen but never tried it out. So alright, lets go try it out. I remembered when I got a favourite song called You Alone are God. Yeah. So we ride the Lunge, its like go-kart but not exactly. We push this handle back to brake and push it forward to speed up, as simple as that.

So we need to go up this hill, only by cable carrier that is totally awesome. So I get to talk with my cousin and yes, he’s quite playful. So the first time, I went there. Woah… my butt hurts! But it was, real fun, I thought I would get a headache. So willingly, I went again. I remember I went about 4 times before I nearly knocked out. Then we on the Flying trapi. Actually, I was a little anxious if I can do both a hang and a back filp. To my surprise, I actually did it. I so so happy but im also dam scared so I gave up going after the first round. Joshua went for 3 times, he tried to put his legs up but couldn’t do it. I got a short video on it.

Next, we went to East coast Park for dinner, I forgotten where we had lunch oops, anyway, I thought of burning a new disc to Joshua so they wont have to listen to the same music disc all over again. We got to East Coast Park where we saw this broken tree then I saw the smile on my uncle’s face. Yay, so we went up and climb up and broken tree. I must admit, my uncle is also not bad at taking pictures, he took in such a way that we were sitting on a tree with the sky under us. It was totally cool. So we played around the tree until my auntie told us it was dangerous. Yeah, it happens. So we ate dinner at the food court there and my mee goring came sooo late. All becos I ordered an egg extra. WTC. At the moment I thought they forgotten my order.

But what shocks my day was when we head back home. We saw 2 cats together so excitedly, Joshua wants to feed the cats. So we threw fish cakes (WTC) at it. Then to my amazement, 5 cats came along as well. We were like the center of attention throughout the whole park. Like seriously, anyone that walk or cycle or skate past us, will look at us. Ok cool! Moving on, we took abut 10 steps towards the car when we saw a toad hopping in the middle of the road. And the toad was BIG man! Its like the size of your palm. We actually wanted to chase it down or capture it but…. Mu uncle don’t want so fine. I tried to take a pic on how big the toad was but its hard. Hey at that time, my photography not very good k!

So while we were going back, I actually thought and reflect about the day. It was indeed a miraculous day. I mean you don’t see THESE kind of things everyday. so I thought wayyy back. All my uncle ever did was made a very short prayer, and he made the prayer as he was driving. It was really short and something came to my heart that even such a short prayer, miracles do happen. It was what inspired me at that time to always pray before I go for something, maybe short, maybe long, nevertheless, something bound to happen. God I think, its time I start doing that nowadays, I noticed that the moment I forget about you, I lose everything else. And yeah… it’s a sad thing to do.

Movie Review- Legend of the Guardians
Rating- 8.8/10__3.5 stars

When this movie was featured, I already had high hopes for the movie, which was a bad thing. It means I had high expectation of the movie. True, I didn’t exactly dislike the movie, but I didn’t really intensely enjoy it as well. The slow motions are epic, fighting scenes are cool and the plot is clear but I feel the movie is rushed. The slow motion was there but it just really didn’t capture me. There were many times I wish the scenes were better. But then again, I cant say its all bad. In fact, the character building for this film is good. I only felt it was too fast. It felt as if Zack wanted to start and end the film. A pair of brothers get separated after an accident fall and is pick up by the enemies. Hope arises when one brother risk everything to find the guardians and to save his only brother. I can say its one of the most creative and cute animation I have seen though. Hopefully, there will be a sequel and even so, hope the sequel is not disappointing. Zack is still good in his slow-motions. Waiting for his 2011 film Sucker Punch. Overall, its best to watch it with children.

PS: can you believe its going to be Feb in 2011 and i havent even update finish Sept in 2010. Shit! im really slow. too much stuff! LOL

Catching up

Update on Life
Well, I bet its been weeks since I ever post something. A major number of things have happen between that.

Firstly, we got new comers for our Cell and I have chosen and support them and help them out after their O levels if they ever need any. Saw 2 girls so far. Isabel and Kimie, yeah, I know, very cute names. Ok moving on.

Not more than a week ago, my comp crashed but here’s the full story. I have done all my hw and completed almost everything that needs to be done. So on Sunday, I just decided to back up everything just in case I lost everything. So alright. I was going out for dinner and ok, I’ll be back I hrs so why not back up. So I use Time Machine to back up everything, left the comp running and went out for dinner. So my comp is currently being backed up.

Cut the story, I got drunk, yes. But my conscious was still fine. I can vomit and miss the toilet bowl but I can still talk and ask myself why. omg. What a moron -> me. So I went to my comp and it has only back up 24 GB out of 164GB. So 140GB is NOT backup. Then I scroll my mouse and shit! The whole comp is lagging, its stuck. So fine! Since this happen, lets do what everyone does when their comp lags, press the power button and wait next day then restart the comp, correct?? So ok, that’s what I did. Power off the comp and wait till next day.

Then Ernest came to my house for something and I on my comp. and then… nothing came out. Shitttt……. So I off and on again. Nothing came out, well, only a white screen, a quection mark came out and black. We tried pressing all other things but the same process restarts. So great! Im screwed! But the most strangest thing happened, and no, its not a miracle, its something strange. Despite me being in this crap situation. I kinda felt calm. Don’t ask me why. I just felt it. And I feel as if everything was going to be alright. But spoiler* everything was not!

So we did discussion about project work and watched a movie cos there was nothing much we can do. I thought of going to sch and ask the ppl for help. And worse… my back up only have 24GB backed up. That’s isn’t much at all. Fine!

First day of sch
Omg!! I tell you… it was such a bad day, I can even rant on FB and I could have guarantee no one would want to be me at that day itself. Here it goes. I assumed that my entire backup will take 6 hrs if the ppl can find a solution cos obviously, I need to format my comp. so ok. I woke up dam early. Cam to sch about 6 hrs before class starts and when I got to sch. The ppl checked my comp and said, ‘oh sorry, we don’t do Mac’ and 15 minutes later, I was released. WTF. Cut me so badly. Not only was my comp Not fixed, what the heck am I going to do for 5 and half hrs?? omg. I tell you,I cant go home cos it’ll take 3 hrs and I cant sleep and I study, I cant play. I cant even shit.

So I rmb I got a book in my bag. Then I took it out. Disappointment with Jesus, what a title! I was really sian and irritated so I complain all day and read the book. Only until later on, I figured… God didn’t solved my problem. It was not even 1% improving. I was still where I was but apparently, I got almost every answer I once prayed for but not the situation im in… which is a good thing. You are freaking stubborn if you don’t see that. So I msg my cell leader and ask Ernest if we could go Bugis to fix my comp.

Okay, later in IS class. I wanted to go toilet and after that, I need to fart. But when I fart, I freaking shit in my pants. Now now… this is not a funny thing. Yes, I know its funny, but not to me. Oh freak! So I had to endure the shit in my pants for 2 plus hrs. It was freaking disgusting. Then I went with Ernest to Bugis, with shit still in my pants. Went to Sim Lim Sq. we talked to many ppl but no one and I mean no one, can help us. Even when they took out the harddrive and plug it in. no icon was shown. In simple words, im really freaking screwed. But the calm strange feeling never felt me, there were times I ignored the feeling but I could say it never felt me. Confirmed, its from God. Cos no one can ever make me feel this way.

So okay, I guess that’s it. I had to think on the spot. And I decided, okay, I’ll lose everything. Well, there was a way to get back everything but it cost $1000+ which is not worth it for my poly assignments. No matter how much I hate to say it but yeah, I will lose everything. So I saw as the man put a new harddrive in my comp and the old one…gone forever. But Im super sure, that strange calm feeling never left me. So okay, I did let go and I still feel, everything was going to be alright.

Then Ernest was dam funny, he came to me and say becos of me, he met another hot girl and he like sot talk to her… WTC. Oh oh nice la! He benefitted becos of me. Whatever! So we had dinner together and next bad thing. When I got home, woah crap, stomachache. Then shit until my butt hurts. Don’t imagine that! Its not good. Then I bathe and shit again!!!! WTC. I came to my mum comp and rant on FB. Then came to my room… shit again!!!! I shit like 3 times in one night and butt hurts like nuts. It hurts so badly, I literally crawled out of the toilet. I prayed to have a better day and hope I don’t shit when I sleep. So I msg Henrietta, another friend and we talked about hows our first day at sch. Omg…

But right now, my comp’s fine. I just don’t want Windows, I’ll play Mac games then. My assignments got extended and more teachers noticed me more. Hey, I normally keep low profile in class one! Haha. So yeah, I feel as if every week, I got work to do and it never ends. Well hopefully, I can still go out with my pals and other good friends. Just hope. But im gonna start today, yeah! God… im running back to you, cos I know you can bring me through.

Holidays
Apparently, these few days have been pretty wonderful and magnificent. On Sunday, I went shooting with Ernest. We did time lapse and we did it from 6 to 7.30pm at MBS. But overall, I think we did a good time lapse, I think we are one of the youngest people that have ever done. Since, I talk to most of my friends and almost all don’t know how a time lapse is like. Well, its good to surprise them when the movie is released. To me, maybe its one of the first and most hardworking short films I have ever done in my Life.

We took quite a lot of people shots and like Ernest, we go for the girls first…if you know what I mean. Haha. But some girls have a seriously nice smile. Too good until we stare at it for long times. Well, that’s just us. I must admit, somehow my photography skills improved ever since I got a new Cam, 550D Canon. I don’t know, maybe the clear and good quality of the Cam shows it looks nice. But that’s what I think.

On Tue, I got an unexpected invitation from Hao Jun, apparently, he got the tickets for the screening of The Ghosts must be Crazy. Heard about it? Well, if you have, we have alr watched it. I don’t know why no one wants to seize this opportunity to watch it. We even met with Jack Neo, Mark Lee and Henry Thia face to face, but of course I didn’t talk to them, just saw them only. But it was a very good experience. I should have brought my Canon cam but dam! So I use my phone instead, here! I got the pic.

I will comment on the movie after its released. Anyway, I was just very thankful for the outing, normally I just like to go out instead of staying at home but really, many things happened, I thought I crewed up badly but overall, I was indeed very thankful for that day. No other words are able to express it. I surprised I managed to talk to Hao Jun until the end. Cos sometimes, I’ll feel very tired and just don’t feel like talking but it just hits me that we can actually talk this long. Hopefully, we can meet again :)

Now, im doing a short film with Ernest Tan and I think it our first short film is dam hard alr. I mean for our first submission, we have alr put more effort than our sch projects work, and its only 4 min long. Its totally nuts! But yeah, sometimes I ask myself if God ever allowed me to do this, if he doesn’t approve of it, I think He’s gonna kill it quite badly as how He nearly kill my dad in his business. But have mercy, I don’t wish to suffer like that. Then again, it depends how stubborn I choose to be.

But I hate it when my pessimistic side keeps taking over. It makes me feel lousy everytime. But yeah, for this one, friends play a very very important part in this. As you know it, like a human being, we all like friends and like to be with friends, don’t you agree? Who in the world don’t want friends huh? So yeah, but through God, I must overcome my pessimistic side.

Rant & rant! (Last Friday)
Please, I really don’t care if youre gonna shoot me for it but I don’t care much too. Today, I have my director’s role and written test, yesterday was practical test. I am sooo totally not very calm. Im prepared but part of me still anxious, which one of you wont feel like that. So I took my practical test, quite happy with it but I didn’t get full marks. Then today, my director’s role. We got 3 hours and 4 of us, including me have to direct finish our roles. Normally, its quite impossible cos on average, 3 ppl take up to 4 hours while in THIS 3 hours, we have to do 4 ppl. So I keep telling myself, I gotta prepare, I gotta prepare. Prepare for the worst, prepare when all else fails. The first 2 directors, I wont stress much took 2 hours!!!! WTF! So I told myself, so me and another girl have to do our roles in 30 min la!! Heck you man! As the last director, it sounds impossible. So obviously, I will panicked. I mean freak, you wont?? And its graded, to make things worse. And so I started to make sure that if my next friend take a long time to direct, I must be ready. So I anxiously rush to get everything sorted out. And freak! I extremely dislike these kind of ppl. When im doing these things, they tell me to relax… ohhhhhh, I will sooo heck you. Everyone got about 1 hour to do their planning and stuff and director until very good. But in the end, most cannot do it. And they expect me to do even better than them in only 20min??? those words my other friends said really piss me off.

They really think I will relax? Then most will say, ‘but worrying so much still for nothing’. Of course I know that!!! That’s why im gonna prepare and plan my thing, then why the HECK did you tell me to relax? So indeed, I really did my best, I gave y most simple explanations and stuff my friends need to do. The only thing was my host was too fast and my teacher wont give my any more freaking time. So I cant decide on the spot to do a excellent work. I did my best! That’s all.

Today
I cant believe im actually typing this in the middle of class. I cant my mind just cant keep quiet. Ok, some the days go by and im like a few more days before the holidays start. A lot of things are happening. Firstly, im trying to get B tan closer to God, maybe it was a calling, well, im not sure. I just want her to still be connected to God, hopefully.

And just now, my friend ask me to help him while, I got to buy camera with my parents and cut hair with Ernest. Dam it! Yes or no?? I cant freaking think! Why is there this part of me that always wish I can help others and another part of me getting priorities straight. I think I face the same struggles and mum, I just cant say no! Ernest and my dad are gonna discuss on what camera I should buy and both also have their own views, both also don’t want to lose. What the heck am I gonna do?!?! God, im dam frustrated cos I have better things to worry about. I got storyboard, I got IS project. Its becos of freaking short of time and made me this way. God, I no longer even know what to say or do.

Sometimes I wish I can just go my way and let me fall and waste some cash and ditch some ppl but I don’t want to!! I don’t think I have the strength and get up, don’t have the money and climb and start anew, don’t have the heart to ditch ppl. Its just me!! God I guess I have to change but change into what?! I don’t even know whether you are saying a go-go or no-no. in any way that I think i’ll buy a camera for, it seems like im always wasting money. Well, I can follow Ernest to spend loads on camera stuff but I don’t want to waste. How do you know whether you are wasting or just investing? Someone say waste, other say invest. I know ppl have their own views but im just confused over this stuff.

Im pretty glad no one or extremely little ppl my blog, cos it becoming a rant blog… which I think I like. God, did you know how many times I feel like ditching everything I have and follow you? But it wont work, I still need money, still need friends, still need love and care, still need a home and so on. If you ever call me to follow You and forget everything, I can do that. But you didn’t call me to do that. You called me to follow you spiritually, not physically. If not, I’ll just become another Judas.

God, do you dislike me when I complain and rant too much? I mean what kind of disciple am I? im not even worthy of even being with you. Anyway, lesson is gonna end soon and im gonna face everything in time. I need you to lead me and guide me. I just wish I can sleep on it but cant, cos I will have to face them. please help me make a wise decision, it maybe not be totally right, but I want a wise decision. I have to do 4 projects, do a short film with Ernest, create Christmas tribute, have time for best friend, remember irregulars in cell and hopefully talking to them, bond with XP… many things to do. I gtg now.

Outing with Friends

Last dinner outing with T1A2
Finally, after a long time, I kinda knew this particular day will come. Okay, first thing, its not exactly the last dinner outing like we’re gonna die and so on. But it’s the last dinner with T1A2 cos next month, we will be in different class with different people with different friends. We met at Bugis. Shao Hui was the organizer and I thought all was going well but I don’t know why in the last minute, almost everyone seems to back out. Kaizer was super swayyyy. He got work on the time when we were going out. So its was Shermaine, PY, SH, Sek and me + Norman. We went to Swensen (is that how u spell it??) nvm. So we ate there and Im about to buy a bomb again. Cos maybe no one knows where to eat or they just like expensive quality food.

We talked a lot of rubbish and how they feel going to China. Its kinda funny how im writing this even though they are alr back from China. I keep thinking im super slow in posting stuff :| so Norman only came halfway when we were ordering. Then we wanted to have Dessert but not down there. We walked and cross the streets. True, we saw quite a lot of dessert stores and Norman was telling me which are the good ones. I guess he has been around Bugis for many times. Then I noticed, crap. Norman actually LIVES in Bugis. No wonder la! Then we went to buy…. Apple… something, shit. I forgotten! Some thing long and crispy bread type with apple bits inside. Its not apple crumble! Its apple something else! Nvm.

I also realized Shermaine can understand Cantonese cos Sek speaks it as well. Oh man, I wish to learn it but made no time for it. The outing was rather simple, just a lot of eating. And later, we went back home. I guess I will miss them cos they wont be in my class anymore. But thank God, some are in the same IS class as me, haha. So in actual fact, I wont miss them that much :P

Movie Review- Takers
Rating- 7.9/10__3 stars
Despite the strong cast, the plot still lacks creative. Yes, the movie is smart. Yes, the movie has fast-paced action but I got to admit, the whole thing was actually very predictable. Im not saying its bad, it just was not there yet. However, I do enjoy the Parkour chase scene. There were times that I was at the edge of my seat, and there were times when I felt really bored. After all, a cop wont be so devoted that he focuses more on a robbery case rather than to spend time with his family. Which cop does that? Unlike The Town and Point Break, the movie was just okay. It begins with 5 people with perfect planning, able to rob a bank and get away with it. Then came another job which requires them to rob a bigger bank but within a week’s time which is too short. But the team persisted it can be done and as you all know, their last job is always the most toughest one, just like every other movie. For non-movie people, it would be good. For movie fans, it is nothing special.

The Poly Life

A little Update on Life
Well, apparently, after so long of updating my life, there are in fact many things that I have not explained on the current things like how I am and hows sch and so on. So just a little update. Now that im in my New class. I have this need of bonding with them. don’t ask me why. I just feel ever since we separated class, and a half of a new class came to our class. Will Life still be the same? Ans is obvious. No la! So that’s why I want to bond, not becos I want to be valued by other people or I want people to know that there is Samuel around them. I just wanna bond. I wanna get to know them better. Normally there are two friends… 2 friends that will be honest with me even if the things are bad and they kow how to be serious when they see me serious or even better, when something is over, they will always come and tell me their honest opinion on that thing. Its wonderful. Its good to get people like that. Friends that doesn’t lie.

Right now, in the class, there is almost none. Then again, not becos I want a friend that can be honest with me but rather, I bond to know people better. Then from there, I find the friends worth keeping. But of course, my biggest goal was not to find friends worth keeping, right now, its just to take the first step. So anyway, my new class, half the class I know, half the class I DON’T know. So in this week im starting to try to bond with them. have dinner or lunch with them, get them out for a movie and stuff. Talk to individual more often than just casual talk. Now… I don’t always take the first step to people, honestly, im afraid and lazy to do that. I always want people to come close to me. But really, wont I become just as selfish as some people I know now. So I believe God has called me to take the first step. And its quite confirm that its my calling at the moment. Since im struggling with it and God alawyas confirm its not so bad and not so bad. It’s a calling. I ask myself the most common Qn, ‘how do u know God is telling me this?’ well, there is no answer for that. God talk to different people in different ways.

For today, I was with Ernest and we sort of plan a photo outing like tmr and im alr feeling tired, crap. But I rmb showing him some clips from Tom Yum Goong and Final Destination 3. Seen them before? If no, go watch them. pretty and very violet but I like their plot of the story. The flow is wjhat I call Nice. Anyway, so what kept me thinking was, after Hi Club, I was going back home with Shawn. Another friend from the class that I wish to bond. Thank god for that. And he told me he was going to meet his gf. So yeah, 14 people in my class. 5 guys 9 girls. Yes, I know, very little guys and it’s a small class. Out of 14, I think 5 is in a relations as in BGR and 2 are finding for one. Seriously, is everyone so desired to be loved?? Well I guess so. It often pains to me to see people in a relationship and they don’t know why. Somehow, I got this feeling it wont last. Not to say that their relationship is bad or something but becos no one wants to love, they will rather be loved. And since they don’t know the true meaning of love, their relationship wont last.

I talk to Shawn for a few minutes and I ask him how long was he with hif gf. He told me 7 months… WE WERE IN POLY FOR ABOUT 7 MONHS, ARE YOU TELLING ME HE GOT A GF IN LIKE WEEKS?? What the crap do they know about love? I myself have problems loving people and learning to love. I think deep for years and they don’t even think much about it. I’ll be frank, what do they know? If I were to ask my why they love this girl or guy, I don’t think they will have an answer. And even if they do, my next Qn is, ‘If your gf or bf were to fight or argue with you, what will you do?’ same like very ans, most people will try and solve in a nice way. A nice way? I have seen guys cursing vulgarities in almost every sentence they speak and they can solve that kind of problem in a ‘nice’ way? Heck no. if youre a lobing or caring person, action will show it. Words are just there to back you up. Like a dear friend indirectly told me, speaking beautifully means little to Living beautifully.

Then the next thing, why will so many people try to find love? And I got a few hints. Shawn was in a boy’s school for like 5 years. I don’t think he has seen many girls in his life. Like Ernest, the moment he comes into a mixed sch, Life changes forever. And yes, both of them are in a BGR. I guess, when you don’t see something for long and if that something comes to you, you become fascinated by it. Its only natural. Maybe I can understand them. people just like to try out things, you know like ‘try’ out a relationship thinking it will be good. Well, sorry, sometimes such things are not always good. A relationship is a commitment, its not just based on feelings. I just hope, they can love in a different way. I just hope.

2 Day Job
One of the most typical jobs any teenagers will face but one of the most untypical response towards it. Well, this is about 2 months ago so I don’t know if I can rmb the whole incident. If I were to tell you everything, woah…. 10 hours! So Im just gonna sum up everything with a few words… maybe a few words (less than 2000). O_O

Okay! Before I went for the job, there were alr a lot of things why I alr hated the job. First, the person who is suppose to tell me the details told me 1 day before work starts. Its freaking so last minute la! I wasn’t even sure if I should come or not. Since he didn’t tell me, the events that I plan on mon and tue, I had to cancel them and I guess my mum is quite frustrated for last minute stuff. Argghhh! So actually, I just wanna quit and say no but I guess part of me still wanst to ‘try’ a job. Funny right, ‘try’ a job? I had no reason why. So I prayed the night before I went to work, hoping God can lead and teach me something. So I went and gosh! The first thing is, the person I call for directions is super rude. Out of 5 new comers, im the only guy with 4 girls. O_o and the guy who is 26 years old, who is suppose to guide me. He was the ‘‘best’’. The staff told him to do stuff, and then I ask him ‘so what are we doing’. And he said, ‘oh don’t know…’ My face was stunned right there. The guide doesn’t know what to do? WTC man! It’s the first time being so lost and another lost guy doesn’t even help. So we were given very small and literally easy jobs, like directing the people from the bus to the entrance. Its THAT simple.

Cut the story, after that, I finally plucked my courage to talk to some of the girls and figured they were from Year 3. Names… errr, I rather not say here. So I follow Nick, my ‘guide’ to another room. There are 3 rooms altogether, the First, Middle and Last. Get it. Simple right? Okay cool! Moving on! Nick and I were in the First. The Middle was use for Performance and demonstration. The last room was just some lotion applying room. So Nick showed me how to use this little ‘game’ and trust me, it doesn’t seemed fun. Its just Facebook Ad and Nick cant show me properly what the Ad totally meant for. Well, but actually I don’t blame him cos he used to be a desk person. So the people came in, they were all interested in the new technology, like a device that scans your hair and it straight away tells you how clean or damaged your hair is. Cool right? Of course la. Even I was interested! Who would really care about some FB Ad? After all, the people are all adults and elderly. I don’t think they would be so fascinated about FB ads.

Next thing will be the person operating the new technology is a girl, one good-looking girl. But in my perspective, sorry to say, she just like every typical girl, nothing special. Of course, I wish I can talk to her but there was really nothing much to talk about. The thing that struck me and I have no idea why this thought even come to mind is, what happens if im not paid for the job or im paid less for the job? What will I do? So I actually thought about it and yeah, well, I can comfirm, it actually wont affect much. Yes, why?? The food there is not that bad but they have FREEEEE Magnum Gold ICE CREAM! But sadly, I didn’t get to taste it due to some extra work. Secondly, it kills time so I wont spend more money with friends and waste time playing computer. Then you’ll ask me, why is eating ice cream and doing shitty work equal or better than playing computer and hanging out with friends? Well, I will rather spend or waste time doing a job that doesn’t me than to really waste my time playing computer games that doesn’t even benefit me in the future.

We kinda work overtime a little cos there was more that was needed to be done. And then I started to have feeling that Jia Yi (a guy) have respect for people. When we were packing half-way, the bosses and staff waved goodbye and ‘thank you’ cos they were going off. So curiously, I complained that the bosses and staff can go off early while we still have to work extra. Then Jia Yi came right to my face and pointed his index finger to me and say, ‘hey! Its alr very good that they say thank you to you. Some bosses don’t do that ok? So you better appreciate while they’re thankful for you’…. Ahh yess, I still can rmb almost the exact words he told me. So yeah, I sort of smile back at him and continue doing my work. I could have guarantee almost every teenager will wanna curse him behind his back and show attitude problem. Ha, immature kids. As my sis used to tell me, some people, you just gotta take them with a pinch of salt. So then i did everything and 2 girls and I and Jia Yi, well, the boss had a car so he drove us to Outram Park and we got home from there.

Yes, and this is only day 1. Still got 1 more day to go but I wont talk about cos this is where it gets personal and deep so if you wanna hear, I rather talk face-to-face. That reminds me, I sometimes wonder if anyone is still reading my blog, still enduring the lengthy long posts of my writing. Well, its inevitable. Im a pretty descriptive person in writing but naturally an expressive person in person. Well, to those new that are currently reading this blog, well, there is one thing you might wanna know about me. I write A LOT! to those who are still enduring and reading this blog, man, I wanna thank to taking all my ranting and lame nonsense, if there is any. Apparently, I am wayyyyyyy behind time so I think I gonna update more post quickly.

Movie Review– The Other Guys
Rating- 8.5__ 4 stars
I must admit, I have never seen Mark Wahlberg star in a comedy movie. but for his first, it is actually pretty good. At first, I thought was just being lame in their lames. Next moment later, I cant stop laughing about them. now as I watch the movie again, it freaking hilarious. Will Farrell and Mark Wahlberg make such fine jokers in the movie. Dwayne Johnson and Samuel L Jackson didn’t fail in adding oil to the fire too. They got the most epic death ever. Terry is a cop with serious anger management, wonderfully played by Mark Wahlberg. Allen (Farrell) is a simple cop who isn’t really into action as Terry. Together, they try to be New York finest cops. Epic fail much? However, Wahlberg only shines when he is with another Star Actor. However, he is my next rising star. Anyway, The Other Guys is an action comedy you don’t wanna miss. It has more lame jokes and funny moments than Step Brothers (2008). I got to admit, it was a really good attempt action-comedy. Highly recommended!

Chia’s Birthday
I had mixed feelings about this day. It started off not well at all, but it ended off very well. Well, maybe I do feel quite happy overall. I told Chia Wei Ling that I’ll be coming for her chalet, so I went to meet WL and ZH. Then Wen Jie was coming along. So ok then! Then Wen Jie wanted to buy a birthday present for Chia but he has COMPLETELY no idea what to get her. How do I know? We just walk around White Sands for about 45 min with Wen Jie bugging the girls on what Chia would like. My expression, ‘oh come on. Just get her whatever you want to get her. Or just get her anything!’ To me, it was the thought that counts but at the way it looks at that moment, I think its more on WL and Zh thoughts than his own. So in the end, ZH suggested the present and Wen Jie just paid for it.

So I thought about it. Are typical guys like that? They find idea or suggestions from other people and they just paid for it? Where’s the thought that counts? You’re just paying for the item. There’s no thought in that! I wonder, do guys just buy a nice present for a girl but in the end, it was not his idea or thought, he just pay for it. How will that make a girl feel? Just empty gifts. That’s all. A friend once told me, it doesn’t really matter what kind of present you give to someone, if you gave it from your heart, then it will alr be a nice present to give. Even some word of encouragement, I guess it will also be a nice present. If the other person wants more, well, then he/she is just plain self-centered. And yes, this is only the first part.

So we took a bus to the ‘chalet’ and wow. It was a house. A FREAKING HOUSE! Dam… what a chalet! So we put our stuff down and rested. Got word that CS and DY will be coming along. So yay. At least I wont be alone. Apparently, I first feel odd at the chalet. The next thing I did, I went to talk to Chia’s mum and her sister. Yes…I know, what stupid guy would do something like that? Me lah! They were asking me why didn’t I spend time with my friends. Well, I alr have so much time, im sure I don’t mind spending time to talk to the people who cooked the food. And the sister was kinda funny. She kept asking me to have fun and go have fun so before, I left, I ask for a drink. True enough, they are kind people. You can sort of sense in their hearts, they feel happy when people can spend time with them.

So anyway, I play poker with Chia’s ITE friends. We got along well. They are all classmates of Chia. I just played until CY and CS arrive. Then cut things short, we went for cycling and that was the next thing, I’ll be describing in details. Haha. So we all know that WL and ZH cannot cycle. Well, they wish to cycle but have phobias of falling down. So I got a 2-seater with WL. So we talked about Life and hows RP for minutes until Wen Jie tries to teach ZH how to cycle. We went to this rocky circle path and Zh got onto the bike. So Wen Jie try to keep her steady while ZH tries to cycle. And yeah, WL was telling me that Wen Jie was a violent teacher. Oh wells! At least ZH was learning. He literally grabs ZH’s hand and pull her to one side when she’s about to fall. O_o scary…

So WL and I continued cycling. Due to peer pressure, well, they wanted to teach WL cycling. So we got a single rider bike from DY and practice. Don’t know what happened next, then suddenly I was the teacher. Well, maybe cos WL don’t want Wen Jie to teach her, I wouldn’t know. So there are times that when she’s about to fall and I had to hold her. Kinda struggled with it but had to pull myself together quickly. True enough, I don’t hold a girl’s hand…just like that. Well, it doesn’t mean im shy, just something I don’t take pleasure it doing, unless she’s my gf. But ok! Back to topic, so I had to guide her and prevent her from falling, also had to encourage her to keep going, its true, she was improving but ZH was alr getting used to cycling. So WL was kinda slow but nvm, I do believe in slow and steady. After some time to teaching, Wen Jie came along with ZH. They were cycling so fast and when ZH brake quickly. Well, they fell. ZH only had a little cut on her leg. Then afterwards, I just don’t get Wen Jie. He was like telling ZH not to brake so fast. ZH just listen. Then afterwards, he went to demostrate what happens if you cycle very fast and then brake. So that’s what he did. He cycled fast and brake and fell. Not so badly but a cut on his hand then he said, ‘see? This is what happens when you brake too fast’. WTC. Dude, you don’t have to show her, I guess she will know about it even without you showing her.

So we cycled back, ZH was still okay and when we got back. We just talked, and rested. Back there, the guy were seriously tired, the girls too but I don’t know why, but somehow guy like to bully sleepy girls, right? Maybe it seems so. And how do the girls response? ‘no la, they only playing’. F man! If I were to ever live like that, my life would be vomiting and suffering. I cant believe this. Girls, you let guys touch and tease and you don’t defend yourself at all?! I mean, they’re not even your bf or brothers, why do you let them take over you? Becos they’re friends?? I wanted to spend time with God but at the way I see them, arghh, its just unacceptable. Anyway, we had BBQ shortly and yes, more words to go. Bear with me!

The BBQ was super hot. I cant even flip a satay man! Wen Jie was trying some drunken BBQ prawn. Basically, put alcohol on the prawns until its soaked then BBQ it. Must admit, its very nice but kinda stupid to do it. I spent most of time BBQing until my friends forced me to sit down and feed me food. Well, I do like the satay but just that, a lot of ashes flew onto it so if you hear that, it sounds yucky. Then Liang Ting, Alvin and Perri came, only for dinner. Now, this is the highlight of the day, at night. I was talking to them cos duh, I haven’t seen them in like, ages! Then I realized we somehow got along so well. I mean we just talked, nothing more. But I just felt I can get along very well with them. then dam! My friends want to go for cycling more so fine! Lets go. Yeah, truthfully, I didn’t wanna leave them. but becos Alvin was so hot guy or there was a hot girl there. I mean, we’re just friend but get along very well. Ya know what I mean??

So anyway, reluctantly left them and went for cycling. But this time, we didn’t get a 2-seater cos my friend say they can let WL and ZH sit at the side and ‘carry’ them. im like WTC. Why not just let them cycle with us? Why must we ‘carry’ them? then one of them say becos, they can cycle faster. So okay then, everyone goes with the flow and I just super dislike that. I got my bike and we cycled, we sort of cycled to downtown East. And yeah, Chia’s bro was with us. So when we reached the place. Okay, first things, the girl thought they were hunger so they wanted too eat something. We reached downtown East and ask what they want. Typical Ans, ‘Don’t know!’ so ai yo! We went to buy some ice-cream while Chia’s bro and Wen Jie smoke. Okay, now another thing about me, I don’t hate smokers, I don’t dislike them but I don’t hate them. but I do hate smoking. Im like omg, cant tolerate it! So we bought drink at Cheer,s I love the discounts, I will always buy the discounts drink. Anything else, skip it. So we cycled back and sort of laughed and try stupid stuff while cycling. Okay, as we go back to Chia chalet. Okay, must find for Liang Ting they all. Then Perri told me she left alr. Awww sad. So nv, I’ll talk to Perri and Alvin then they were leaving before us so man… I wish they can stay longer.

But in fact, God was indeed very merciful, it was such a way that they actually went home with us… and more. Okay, I thought they were going to leave early cos maybe they got their own stuff to do. So I kept delaying them until they had to stay. Then okay, a problem starts. Chia got like a 100 satays left and she asked us if we can bring back and eat. At first, im just being an ass and said no, cos all my friend would have done that same. So I thought it just a small thing, just say no and walk off. But overtime, I knew, she was getting desperate and you can see that from they way they talk and the words they say. So I stood up and take like about 20-30 pieces. The rest… nah, they don’t want it. So we sort of try to talk to Chia and come with some excuse even though in our hearts, we don’t want the satays. I mean, really it’s a really small matter. So Chia was like, ‘ok la. You wanna go then go la. I ask some one else’…

Yeah, sounded a little rude and WTC but I understand how she felt. Even the friends in her ITE or her bro friends, just walk past and say no. No considerations, no nothing. They are hi and bye friends. No freaking feelings to even smile at her. Then an amazing thing happened, Perri kinda called me to one side, and she and Alvin wanted to buy a cake for her. Not a big one but a small cake for her, just to make her feel better. Then they asked me if I wanted to tag along. First thing in my mind, ‘omg of course man!’ so when my friend called me to go back, I said no. didn’t tell them why, but they insisted to wait for me. Seriously, I was hesitating so much. I cant spoil to my friends that im going with Alvin and Perri yet if I don’t say nothing, my friend don’t get a clue to my actions. But of course, I choose to say nothing. There were awkward silence lots of times and I guess Chia was wondering why we aren’t going yet. The amazing part was that we kinda stay with Chia for a good 30 min and we just talked. Just talked. And we also try to plan how we are gonna give her a cake. However, Chia still persist that she doesn’t need a cake. Maybe she just doesn’t want to trouble us so much. So after a long time, we agreed to it and took a bus back.

And no, the story does not end here. All my friends sat at the back while I sat with Alvin and Perri. We still talked about Life and we talked about how we can encourage Chia up since we thought she was feeling down. Really, I didn’t want her birthday to end like that, ok. Its freaking not nice at all. So Perri suggested that we take a video of us saying something to Chia and post on FB and tag her for her birthday. But we thought it was kinda tough and we didn’t have much time so we just thought of us each sending a msg of encouragement. Seriously, never in my Life, have I seen such considerate friends. I mean, when you are feeling down. People just come and say ‘cheer up’ or ‘don’t be sad’ or some other lame things. Who would actually stay and still be with them, aside just bf and gf. I mean must we have a bf or gf in order to show that kind of kindness towards people. I think NO. We stay by them becos we care. Im not some guy who tell you to cheer up and just walk away. That is not an encouragement. Don’t you even know what an encouragement means? I sometimes hate it when others are down or emotionally destroyed and you go to them and say ‘cheer up’. Seriously, if im not in a good mood, don’t say it to me too. I even wonder do teenagers think for others even. Sigh* selfish teens in Singapore. And we thought we are so gracious… So I began to think that Alvin and Perri are really good friends and Chia should be happy to have such friends. Hopefully so, I can get to meet and catch up with them.

Movie Review- The Blind Side
Rating- 9/10__ 4.5 stars
After this movie, I was asked, ‘What was the best scene in the movie?’ And I replied, ‘There was no best scene, the entire movie is the best scene!’ The moment I saw the scene at the volleyball court and saw Michael cleaning the litter. I straightaway knew it was a different movie from the rest. It talks about how a Christian woman brought a quiet Michael back home and how Life changes after. There are many times I go Wow at the movie. It’s a story of how Michael Oher came from a broken family, and rise up to be one of the best footballers of all time. I like his character, it actually displays the kind of humility people ought to have. Problems starts when people did not accept Michael and the family have to find ways to help him. However, it still have a rather happy ending. Now this kind of movie, I don’t mind watching it 2 or 3 or 4 times again. There is not one scene you want to miss out. There are times I just feel like standing up and clap for the movie. Its that’s good! Didn’t know why Sandra Bullock got Best Performance, I personally think Quinton Aaron should be the one. Overall, one of the most touching movies I have seen. Definitely worth more than 4 stars.

The First Performance
I never imagine that not long after the Hi Club Camp, im posting the first performance I had in Hi Club. Wow how time really pass! It was my very first performance of signing a song and im super nervous. I can still remember how it felt like, when Darren was my Hi-instructor. We were signing I Want It That Way. So I was walking to find for the LTR, then it was at the place where I first went for Sports & Wellness (PE). So we began rehearsing signing the song. And the most unexpected part was suddenly more people came in, they are not regulars but they came for the performance. Oh my gosh! So Darren have to quickly teach them about the song. Imagine, you come and learn to sign a song and the next hour, you are performing, how would you feel? Freaking nervous and scared, what else! In my row of 5, 3 of them just were irregulars. So I gotta calm them down and they cant really speak English very well and yes, my Chinese sucks. So I got to use my sucky Chinese to calm them down.

Next thing, the positioning, the people that just came didn’t know or don’t know much for the positioning. And it’s a lot of moving. And not some stand-and-sign that kind of thing. Every few phrases later, we have to move. My instructors, Pei Wen and Darren… well, I can see they are really struggling with the whole thing. Seriously, if I were them, I freaking panicked ok! And there was nothing I could do but play my part and sign well. XP, a guy I just knew for 15 min, went to lead us in the song. You can really Darren rushing cos he rather teach the irregulars the song and positioning than to go for announcement. So Pei Wen went instead. Me? I don’t know. I stared at Darren for quite a long while. He was so rushed he even got our names wrong when positioning. Well, but I do understand how he feels. Could have been sure he is knows what to do when adversity comes.

So we practice more and went in around 7.30pm. True enough, everyone was anxious. I repeated tell myself no to worry and remember to remember the lyrics. Zul was my first friend in class so we came up with a plan on how to cheer our instructors up. When they come on stage every time, we will shout their names over and over again. Yeah I know, what kind of stupid plan is that!! The plan worked, worked too well, we cheer so loud until our instructors forgotten the lyrics halfway. WTC! But its funny still, haha. Then we were going to sign our song. Woah, I don’t know much but we started differently, and ended differently. I mean it. Ours was the only one with curtains drawn and we ended off with ‘1F’ shaped by the people. 1 is black and F is white. Im in the F. well, I can admit I did well. I could have guaranteed I did not miss or forget one word. It felt super good!!! I can even see some people on their seats signing with us. And as the crowd cheered, well, it felt like an achievement, an achievement I must thank God for. For a second, im sure everything will be okay.

Zul blocked me

The performance hit past 10.45 and crap, the last train leaves at 11.30, I got to hurry to the MRT. Asked Darren if we can go back together but he was staying in sch. So I went home with Zul, XP, Glenda ( a girl I just met cos she was with XP). XP and Glenda went home by bus. Zul and I went opposite to take the bus. Well, its cool cos I get to know the two of them better, apparently, they also talk a lot when you know them better. Now, I was asking God, ‘what happens if I miss the last train?’ shit I cant think like that! Must have Faith that I’ll get the last train. Was praying almost the whole time and yes!!!!! I got the last train. Zul continued taking the bus back home. I was in the train myself and I kinda felt sorry for those who missed the last train. There was a time when a guy just missed the doors and he thought another train would come but a guy at the station told him to go down as no more trains will be coming. Felt sorry for him. Then with 50 min on the train, I got a seat and reflected on the whole day. Suddenly, something urged me that I should send a msg to Darren. At times, I feel like just msg him for the sake but it felt different this time. Arggghh. Fine! So I gave him a msg of encouragement. As usual, he doesn’t reply but that’s alright. I look at the black sky and said 2 words before I doze off, Thank God.

Movie Review- Bodyguards and Assassins
Rating- 8.4/10__3.5 stars
Actor Donnie Yen, Nicholas Tse, Leon Lai and Tony Leung stars in one of the greatest movie ever. The plot is to protect someone for an hour, literally one hour. There is no specific main character in the movie, each character has their own scenes, each character has their own story. The fighting scenes aren’t like a typical Chinese movie. It brings us back to the old movies such as Police Story and Once Upon a time in China. Excellent choice of music with fast faced action. However, the only thing is pulls is down is, it gets boring in the first hour. Watch out for the scene where Donnie Yen fights against Cung Le. That scene was awesome. Its been quite a while since I see such a simple and nice plot in a Chinese movie. I can recommend this movie to everyone, not just action fans. Really nomination worthy.

Bubble in the Class

I know there are a lot of stupid funny stuff that we do in class. Ahha this is one of them. my friend actually bought a box of bubbles balloon. Well, they used to be very old toys. The part where u use a straw to blow and tada! U get a big bubble balloon! Nvm, I got pic to show you all. Its been a awfully long time since I see one of those stuff before. So we played around in the entire classroom ok. Then we form bubble human using the big bubbles. And yeah, I sucked at blowing bubbles! I cant blow as big as my other friends. So we end up sticking our badly blown bubbles with the big and nice bubbles, lol. Then if we were to separate them, both bubble will tear. Anyway, we did had fun. Later on, we just went for lunch.

Movie Review- Evangelion 2.22
Rating- 9.55/10__ 5 stars
This Japanese animation movie wins all animation movies hand down. From the sequel of Evangelion 1.11, I thought the movie is not as engaging as most. Yes true, the effects and graphics are intense and well displayed but I didn’t quite have a mood of the 1st movie. Evangelion 2.22 is about the same storyline as 1.11, kids are brought to control a huge robot called an EVA to defeat ‘Angels’ that have come to destroy Earth. The Angels are also robots but they are corrupted and machines that become reckless. It quite amazing that it takes one angel and destroy Earth. Yet with the EVAs, ten angels failed. However, this second part of the movie, I must say, it is the most captivating and outstanding animation. I have never seen anything so nicely done and presented. The movie is realistic to show, not all heroes live a good life. In fact, they lived worse than humans. Shinji, a boy who was brought to control EVA unit 01 suffers emotionally and physically becos of the Life he was brought up. Some call him EMO, some call him WEIRD, I just call him DEEP. He falls in love with a mysterious girl , Rei, blue-haired girl who is mostly alone. Soon an orange-haired girl, Asuka, came to thought she can act tough and control things by herself. The problem starts with one EVA is corrupted and Shinji is forced to kill his friend. More problems arises when the tenth Angel arrives. People think sequels are normally bad. However, this movie it wrong. The only thing why I truly love the movie is becos feelings when put into a fight becomes spirited and this is one of the few movies who can managed to do that. I love that a hero fights and fights and give all him have. Recommend this movie to everyone to watch!! It should have been awarded Best Film of that Year. Truly worth 5 stars.

I just love it how the word NOW can mean a lot to me. Its about a few days after Hi Club Camp and I have indeed learnt a lot. I wont go explaining every details cos it will take 10 hrs. lol. Ok there are a couple of things that I super wanna say. I know that u take hrs, days and weeks to plan of something and your plan can just go down the drain within minutes or seconds. Its super frustrating and I have to super decide how or what to do. Im currently blasting the music, At the Cross and You alone are God. Seriously, they are the next 2 fav songs. Apparently I am pretty bad to solving or handling stress. I just shut off myself from the World using Christian music. Maybe it’s the time where I look to God and really let Him in control.

From Hi Club Camp, true its fun and all. But I guess God made me learn quite a lot of things through the camp. First, He taught me that I must now take talking or speech for granted. God kinda showed me how pathetic I am for signing. And the leaders encourage us to sign as we talk. Sign as in Sign language. And since Im so pathetic at signing, my talking is very slow and pathetic too. So after the camp, I was talking to my family and I realized how fortunate I am when I can talk. Look at the Hearing Impaired who must sign every word or letter when they speak, it is really troublesome. We are alr blessed when we can talk even though we have only 1 mouth. Be glad u can talk.

Just to make things interesting. I got love-struck in Hi Club camp!!!! Woohoo!! Hahaha. Ok la, its only a crush, a passing thing. I got freaking distracted during signing lah! And worst, I got it on the first day of camp, so yeah. Cannot keep staring at her!! Its so stupid. She wouldn’t even like me anyway. But overall, it was not a crush. Her personality just curious me. Im not saying that I dislike her. I just don’t like her that crazy, just her personality curious me. So basically, I just want to know her better. That’s all. But don’t worry, I don’t like her now. Fine! Just a little. Haha. Anyway to spoil to you all, well those who are seeing this, she’s not in any group. She in camp comp. haha make a guess!

The next thing, I figured that if u go out with your friends and u don’t put God in the center. The outing just feels kinda weird. Ever got it before? Well, I went out with my pal to watch Takers. And I didn’t exactly put God inside. I mean the outing was fun and all but it just felt something amiss. Its like one piece of the whole magnificent joy is missing. So when I was backing home, I was just reflecting. You know, its so easy to just turn our way and go our own path but it feels meaningless at times. I could have easily daydream and waste my time. So I decided, maybe next outing im gonna starting praying and let God come in again and hopefully to all my Christian friends, I would like to make a prayer before we leave and get back to our own lives. My pal once told me, prayer is very important and I agree with that.

Lastly, when a plan fails and things just don’t go your way. Don’t give up!!! Don’t just say Ai Ya forget it lah! Cos it means you have lost and the problem have take the better of you. I encourage you all, don’t give up. Seek God and get your head straight. Think through first, plan another plan and commit it to the Lord. Let God literally do the rest. But don’t u give up!!! If not, u will always easily give in and grumble at the end of the day. Right now, im still going out with my friends after a major change of plans and many is not coming. Im still going out with the rest cos I did not give in. Thanks to God I can at least still go out with some. Its better than nothing. For all I know, I might just impact these few friends through God.

Behind the Scenes of a Story with only Pic
In Art & Design, we were suppose to create a story or a video but we can only use pictures and not only that, we can only use 25 – 30 pictures. Sounds impossible? Well, it was nearly that. We re-do our work nearly 3 times. And all the teacher said to us was, ‘‘ this needs work or this is not very nice, go do again’’. We heard that the 4th time and we were alr gonna kill him. True enough it was easier said than done. Cos our actors in the video isn’t free all the time. Pei Ying, classmate, brought a senior friend along which was real good so he can guide me and tell us some hints on Poly Life. So it was raining and yes, a miracle did take place.

At that time, the rain was kinda crazy. And I told God what to do. And indirectly I felt in my heart, prophesize over weather and command it to go away. Omg how on earth am I gonna do that? Prophesize over the weather? Oh pls, God no. I cant do that. How can I do that? But I felt in my heart, ‘ have faith and prophesize over the weather’. I heard from a girl, Sarah who went on stage and quote a bible verse. I forgotten the verse and what chapter and the person but I rmb… it was on the dry bones and God said to the person prophesize over these dry bones and I will give their life to rise again. And the person did and, indeed the dry bones rose back to Life. So back to topic, I think to myself. Yes, the story is quite amazing but how am I gonna prophesize over the WEATHER?!?!

So ok ok ok!! Just do it! So I prophesize over the weather and command it to stop. Yes, I know, I look like a stupid person talk to myself but that was what I did. And then… nothing happened! WTC. Well, so I kept praying over the weather. Then we went to our place and get ready. Our scene was at the toilet so I cant see outside and know if the rain have stopped. So nvm, back to preparing for the shoot. So after we’re done, we went out and went to a deserted office to shoot our next shot. After a few times, okay, we’re done. Then the senior looked out the window and said, ‘woah, thank God. The rain has stopped’.
When I heard those words, I REALLY froze. I try to rmb, when did the rain stopped? Right after we left the toilet, the rain was alr drizzling. Omg. I not only doubt God, I forgotten his work after that prayer. I tell you, I felt so bad about myself how could I, after God have been so good. I know its not so amazing that after I pray, the rain stopped, no. But from a thunderstorm to a drizzle within 45 minutes? Now that’s good enough. So at that time, time seemed to have stopped and there I was, alone with God as everything freezes around. Sorry God for doubting you. Sorry to see the miracle you have performed.

And soon, I was pretty much alone, just talking to God in my heart. We sat down in Makan place to have lunch. Then I saw the senior guy as he brought his food, come to the table and fold his fingers. He prayed. Then I knew one thing for sure, he was a Christian. Well, I guess there is much I have to learn and correct for myself. God, whatever You are gonna teach me. Let me not reject the lesson learnt.

Movie Review- The Last Airbender
Rating- 8.2/10__ 3 stars
From the director of The Happening and The Sixth Sense, M Night has made some good improvement in The Last Airbender. Don’t call it Avatar cos it is nothing compared to James Cameron Avatar. The story talks about an Airbender that can also control the other elements of water, Earth and Fire. Thats why he is called The Avatar. But there is a problem cos he hasn’t learn to master or even trained the other elements yet. The story itself is rather okay but due to poor acting and inexpressive Eng, the movie can become a pain to some. It true, looking at the power of elements is indeed very cool and nice but the rest just stink. The only thing good was good visual effect. The only person who was experienced in acting was the Indian who acted in Slumdog Millionaire. He can act the serious character of Firebender but the sillyness of him, no. the rest, cant even act serious or silly. My family was saying the movie was supposed funny and silly as seen in the animation but in this movie, none or few are shown. The only captivating scene was the rescue of Aang and Earth-benders fighting against Fire-benders in a one-take shot. The movie in fact is very tamed and not much risk is seen inside. I think it’s a movie best left of kids or elderly.

Rainy Days brings the Changing
Don’t ask me anything. I know weather doesn’t show a true character of a person but you must admit, it does changes the mood of a character. For me, I saw both of them happening. I have never seen Ngee Ann Poly flood before so it must be a good experience when that happens and yup, today is the day! My first goof friend in Poly, Ernest, was in a relationship with R. and they only just started. And I rmb clearly, it rain all morning and almost all afternoon. The study area outside our classroom, a few meters away from that, the entire area was flooded. Don’t worry, if you don’t know what im talking about, I got pic to show ya! So in the morning, it was alr flooding in Sch. And R was still bus stop and Ernest has an umbrella. But he so far from the bus stop, like a few blocks away, not to mention a big slope, he has to climb. But since he’s in a relationship, heck that! So he took his umbrella and ran all the way. I send him a msg just to tell him to be careful. The weather doesn’t show his true character but I soon come to realize that he cares for his gf, don’t get me wrong, I didn’t say Love.

So anyway, after 5, we ended lessons and what made me rmb this day very well even though its 2 months ago from now, cos it’s the FIRST TIME, I literally forgotten to go For HI CLUB. Omg! But I have a good reason, I actually found out whats going on in the class that eyes do not see. Gossiping… I know time and time again, our seniors told us not to gossip becos it will kill the ENTIRE class slowly. Well, but gossiping seem inevitable. And for me, I saw how it all began, one gossip to one assumption to one’s hatred to one’s fall and finally… separation begins. After the talk with a few of my classmates, SH, Chin and SC. We went to SIM and decided to try the store opposite the SIM canteen. All I know is, there is like a restaurant but we only ate slightly cold Western food. Trust me, it aint that nice. But it was rather cheap. We talk (gossip) more while I just sit there and listen.

I once told a friend. She ask, ‘we always gossip’. And I said, ‘there is a diff talking to someone and gossiping about someone’. If I saying that guy is very kind-hearted and gentle. He is helpful and always show respect to people. Am I gossiping? No. I would like to say, ‘‘ just talking about him’’. to me, my terms of ‘Gossiping’ is saying something about someone in a very negative way using one’s opinions without confronting the person. In simple terms, I don’t like gossip and don’t like to gossip, I like to talk about people and how they play a part in my Life. Yeah. Simple enough…

Movie Review- Book of Eli
Rating- 8.8/10__ 3.5 stars
Danzel Washington stars as a lone man protecting a sacred book from enemies. Carnegie will do anything to get it, (excellent performance by Gary Oldman). One thing amusing about the film is the fight scenes are simply superb. I really like the one-takes in the movie. the movie is not exactly Christian nor not religious at all. I would say half-way. You might be surprised that movie is better than you think. The plot is about a man named Eli, travelling West to find a safe place for the last bible. But people think that the bible holds powers and they will do anything to get it. Eli is the person who will do anything to protect. The CGI effects are wonderful. Though some things can look very fake, it is actually quite cool to look at it. The twist is nicely done but the thing I didn’t like is it didn’t talk about the war and how everything first started. It just happened and people may get confused about the situation the characters are in. However, overall, the movie is pretty entertaining and first-timers may just like the movie.

First Class Dinner Outing
Woohoo!! Its now Sept and I still remember when our Poly class went for the first class dinner outing ever!! We went to IMM and I was telling Shao Hui that we wanted something a little cheaper this time. You’ll be surprised at how much we can spent in a day. So ok, $10 for dinner, not so bad, I think. Ernest was wearing his glasses and at first sight, he really looked retarded. Shhhh, don’t tell him this. At that time, I don’t really know much of my friends so I think it’s a good time to bond. I wanna thank the person who organized that outing cos I kinda forgotten who, but if she/he does see this, I wanna thank you for that dinner outing.

So we ate at the food place near the Jap restaurant. I cant find words to describe the place. So we all ordered the almost same dishes and drinks. Then there was a time, when we were playing with our food, like putting all the yucky sauce altogether. Then we asked who wanna eat it. Omg. Its so freaking disgusting. But Shao hui dare to eat it. I got a pic on it. Shoot, dam disgusting!
We later went to Daiso Always $2. Then I never thought my whole class is like kids, literally.

They played around the entire Daiso store, wearing all kinds of clothes and crap. We even bought some funny stuff. But for me, well, I just take pic and watch. Then we wanted to find a place to just chat, but couldn’t. so we went up to an empty space and took some pic of the class. It quite weird cos we take the pic with our laptops along. After everything, we went home cos we still have sch tmr.

PS: did you know Sept 5 on Friday was my last dinneer outing with T1A2? well, omg. im gonna miss the times...

Movie Review- The Karate Kid (2010)
Rating- 8.5/10__3 stars
Great performance by Jackie Chan and Jaden Smith. It is Jaden’s first time being the lead actor and he has done pretty well. Good use of slow-motion but some fighting sequences are just too shaky. The first hour was just terrible and unrealistic, I mean, which girl stares at a stranger the whole time? I think China girls have better things to do. And which boys would wanna bully and fight because of a girl? China people have 2 things, study hard or train hard. Why would they fight with strangers? Its so dramatic. And the part where they kissed, do they even know what they are doing!?? They’re so young. I really cant stand that part. But other than that, the rest of the movie starts to get real good. The development of characters is clearly seen as Jake (Smith) learns what is real Kung Fu. It got me wondering why the title is Karate Kid while the Jake is learning Kung Fu? Should have just name the title Kung Fu Kid instead. Produced by both of Jaden’s parents, I guessed a lot of effort is put into the film. And the last fighting scene was just wonderful. Most credit is given to it. It wasn’t a spirited fight but it was darn close. That moment kept me on the edge. Overall, I think this film is best shown to kids.

Happy Birthday, Alan!
Yay! First thing first, why on EARTH am I posting something so long ago even though this is about 3 months ago? Well, I got 2 Ans. First, im a dam slow blogger. Second, when im going through my Pictures, I told myself, ‘oh ya, I forgotten about Alan’’, also decided to post this on.

We actually wanted to give Alan a surprise birthday. So DY went to get the cake and everything else. I was the cameraman. So we called Alan at a timing and ask him to bring some thing for some bicycle thingy. So when we come out, we can ‘ambush’ him. but that’s the plan! The real thing isn’t what u think. We called Alan, ok, cool, then we ask him to come down. Ok, everything is going well. Then we kept looking at the lift to see if it reaches the 5th floor? I don’t know. But when it comes down, we will hide. It went up. We hid. Then oh crap!!! IT’S THE MUM!!!!!! Shit, we have been found out. But we thought nothing will happen. Then we waited. Then shoot! Alan came down by the stairs becos he suspected something alr. Oh man!! Cannot ambush him!!! becos his mum contacted him that something was going to happen to him. so he came down to avoid us. Omg! We were so close man!!

So we tried to beat the cake to him but we kinda failed. Hello! We were so freaking obvious la! But we did manage to ‘take him down’. So ok, after that, all of us get a bite of the cake and we went to play pool. And yay! I managed to beat 2 people, I think it Jun-ster & CS. Haha. I got a new way of recording, try putting the camera on the pool table and follow the white ball. I tell you, it looked super epic and cool.

Anyway, before all that, something did happen, something pretty emotional and deep. Im pretty glad I managed to share part of me to one of my friends, Shaun, yes, our POlar bear. Im glad I can talk a little more than just ‘Our lives’ stories. If you don’t mind me, my friends, im gonna say everything. Winston, Alan and Shaun wanted to ask me to go for a job. Well, I alr had such an encounter so I somewhat know what to say. Sounds like a MLM job but they insisted its not a MLM. Well, im not trying to talk against MLMs but rather, cos I still have sch and the job might hinder my studies. No matter what you say, indirectly it does hinder my studies. My mum once asked me a Qn, do u think Education comes first or just making money? Well, cos obviously, when we find a job, we normally look at the pay. I know many people would say making money cos yeah, money is important. But also, Education is also important. Then again I stress some may agree, some disagree. Its okay, I respect all your choices, but personally, I find Education more important. I can learn something valuable rather than make a lot of money and still be the idiot I am now.

So my friends were quite shocked and asked me why don’t I choose such a good job. I mean we can earn more than $2000 per month and its only our first job. How good a deal is that?! So I began talking to my friends about my views and how I view attitude more than affluence (riches). But Winston still think he can convince me to the job, so he talked me in Alan’s, when we got out, reached sch, at the bus stop, even when we are playing Pool. All my friends were getting ‘sian’ becos of it, hahah. I knew for only a moment, I somehow got a feeling I can out-talk their instructor. I don’t mean to brag, but when I look at how desperate Winston is to get me to the job, I knew, his mind could not understand but only just want me to the job. That’s all. I get to talk to Shaun and told him im a slightly different friend and do stupid stuff but not for stupid reason. He also agrees with it. Then sooner or later, during Pool, we had another great time and hopefully, I get to see my secondary Sch friends again.

I wanna thank God cos my friends always talk on a normal basis, like hows life and hows things going and rarely or not once, we talk about our opinions and get deeper into our lives. At that time, I thought it was all fun and games. But later, I know, its not just all that, Life is pretty harsh and yes, its Real. Hopefully, when I see my friends again, we can start to talk deeper things and make the conversation more meaningful. Well, im gonna make an effort to.

Movie Review- Ninja Assassin
Rating- 8.8/10__ 3.5 stars
From the producers of Matrix and Speed Racer, the Wachoski brothers have done a wonderful job for this movie. Even though blood is excessive in this one, the action scenes are epic. Though some scenes are pretty fast, the slow motion used is very nicely done. It has a rather cliché storyline but unlikely, most movies, this one is nicely delivered. It talks about Raizo (Rain) being by an undefeatable clan. He begins assassinating people becos his ‘father’ says so. Not wanting to anger him, Raizo heeds his every command. Until he falls in love with woman who doesn’t want to kill anymore. She convinces there is more to Life than killing and Raizo is puzzled by it. After her death, Raizo soon came to realize what she really meant. Upon rebelling to the clan, Raizo is being hunted down by the rest of his people. I really like the road scene where ninjas try to kill Raizo. The only thing that I didn’t quite like was, when the master died too quickly. At first, he was way stronger than Raizo then, Raizo got angry and kill him within seconds. Sometimes, I just cant stand fast deaths, especially the last enemy. I watched it again with my cousins and sadly, they pointed out all the mistakes. Some scenes were too dark and the first scene was awesome to show how fast a ninja is. Then When Rain fight the ninjas, they somehow seemed lousier. One ninja can kill about 8 people in minutes and Rain kill more than 5 ninjas in a few minutes. Still, I would recommend this movie to all action-goers. If you can stand intense violence and blood, you may just like this film after all.

ahhhhh! It been too long a time since I last saw my Wushu friends. I was called by Josh to attend it, actually, I want to skip cos I got some other stuff to do but in the end, I did come… psss, if not, Josh will KILLLLL me. So anyway, I met up with my friends and we went in. to my surprise, I even see many unfamiliar faces but they claim to know me. Omg. And I even forgotten many juniors names, crap. I will try to remember more of them. Then there are some real nice food like, stingray and prawns on a stick. Haha! Josh actually wanted to sing a song but I kinda forgotten the lyrics… hey! I only start to memorize them on that day itself. Its ‘You and Me’ by Lifehouse.

Then afterwards, there was a time where we sat down and talk. Miss Goh asks about our lives and how we are doing in Poly. It appears that I could be the only one in Wushu that went to Ngee Ann poly. Well, I was indeed thankful that I don’t just go with the flow. I notice that standing out is very very outstanding and inspiring. For instance, everyone wears a mask. Once, one person takes out his mask and live by it, u notice, others will soon follow. Going with the flow may be good but it depends on whom you are following.

So after 10, I left with Coach and we got a bus back together, and he was telling me stories about being a Coach. You got to admit, sometimes, he is very funny in his actions. It taught me about being Child-like and Childish. First thing, I would like to thank God for showing me many things, even though I forgotten some when im writing this now. But I do thank Him for getting me back to Wushu. Something does tell me, with God, everything is going to change.

Movie Review- The Shawshank Redemption
Rating- 9.3/10__ 5 stars
This movie is rated top in IMDB (internet movie data base). Said to be the best film for 16 years, although its not the highest action or money-grossing movie. I watched this movie in Sch during Storytelling period. We were meant to focus on character and storyline. And I tell you, the plot was just so ingenious. It talks about a banker who was wrongly framed for murder but he didn’t speak up and make his stand. As a result, he was sentenced to prison for life. He witnesses the horror of prison life but he chooses to react to them differently. This brought him to new friends, reliable friends and favour from the warden. Alan (Tim Robbins) was a man of his words and this proves he know how to get things done. What was dirty inside came out to be clean. Morgan Freeman also played a superb actor and an excellent narrator. From the director of the Green Mile, this movie has lived up to the top movie of IMDB. Unfortunately, it was not awarded any awards since it was competing with many good movies and people favoured the others more. It is highly and really recommended to everyone who hasn’t seen the movie. The movie is focus a lot on character building which most movies nowadays lacked. It surprises to see that after 16 years, visual effects improved so much but none can beat a original storyline film. It shows, plot, character and Thought are very important to make a good movie. Much to be learnt from the movie.

Wow! I know this might be sooo outdated alr but I’ll catch up. Just a update on Films and Cell. We did the most funniest thing we can ever do it Films. And trust me, don’t try it!! We went to the Engineering Block and FILM THERE! We were talking on how good our course is in front of Engineering people. WTC! And im the actor, omg! Crap. Just afterwards, we did a long dolly shot. We were on a trolley and thus, we got a pusher, a cameraman, 2 sound people and yes, me the actor. Then we perform a running scene as the camera follows me running, yes it sure looks awesome but in front of Engineering people again?!! Man, I guess we just indirectly mock all of them by showing how fun FSV course is. Then after filming that, we want to try more ‘fun’ stuff. So we went to the Running Track and did the same thing again. Apparently, I don’t know why they all like me as an actor. My actions are so stupid :|

Then I cant stay long cos I got Cell. I don’t care whether my friends are treating me out or having more fun, I am committed to come for Cell whenever I have the chance. So before Cell, one of my cellmates bought a very funny looking…hat. Seriously, I kinda forgotten whats it called. Haha! Anyway, I kinda missed my seniors from Cell. In the month of Aug, I don’t get to see them often, somehow I do miss all of them, especially the jokes when they talk about my bro and me. We will always go ‘hehehe’ when they got our names wrongly. Yeah, those were the times…

One of the Best Days!

This is one of the best days ever!!! Not because all of good thins has been happening. Its becos there is never a dull moment. Yeah, I was dead tired and nearly fainted a couple of times but I must say, God is seriously awesome and everything to me.

I woke up at 7 and crap… its raining. You all know I live in the east and how far I must go to reach NP. It cant be raining!! Come on man. I took 15 min to WALK from my house to the MRT. If it rains, my leptop will get wet, my pants, my crocs, crap! I was telling God I really don’t want it to rain. I want a good weather. And something struck me. ‘Prophesize over the weather and command it on stop.’ WTE! How on earth am I going to do that? But… it was the exact same thing when I was told to prophesise over the weather. Its quite scary as you REALLY REALLY don’t know whether it will come true or not. And you’re scared if you pray so hard, nothing happens. Well… thats when Faith comes in. I had to be sure of what I say will come true. So I closed my eyes. Within that few seconds, I command the rain to subside. I anxiously sat at my table, eating my breakfast and looking outside. I told myself, ‘praying for healing is hard enough, but praying over the weather?? I mean the weather is always unpredictable and uncontrollable. In what power can I change the weather?’ well… only God can. As I head ouside… wow… the rain did subside. It was like a heavy drizzle, good enough for me to walk and not get drenched like crazy. Haha. Awesome, God! Totally awesome. Thank you.

Next good thing, I reached the MRT and I wanted to buy concession card but there was only 3 min left. How how how? I got to keep my umbrella also! So while taking out my wallet, wooohhh! I nearly dropped my laptop. I got concession ready and went up. Got to the place I want and hey! The train just arrive and good enough for me to get a seat. Totally cool eh? So I rested and slept. I got off at Clementi Station. And I went down and 184 came. Crap, I thought with all these people rushing I can get a bus. Then something greater came, a shutter bus heading to NP came. And it stopped near me. Not only I managed to get in, I also got a seat. Woah! Thank god thank God!

Then I was thanking God so much, I told myself, and nothing is going to ruin this day… I was wrong… the time I came into class, my friend told me if I had printed my hw. Shit… no! I have not. My friend told me I had to run and fast! I put my bag down and ran. At Np, it was still raining. I ran downhill. Shoot, I cant run so fast cos its slippery. I nearly fell quite a number of times. I came to the printing room. Shoot! Its not opened until 9.30 and my lesson starts at 9. Its too hard. Then I ask the person at the counter. She told me that there is another one near the library but its quite slow. Nevertheless, I had to go. I knew my teacher. She is pretty strict and treats punctuality very serious. The moment you’re late for 15 min, you are ABSENT! I got there and shoot me! 3 people in front of me! I waited and waited. Oh man… its 9.20. im alr late.

Well, I guess I will definitely be marked Absent. It was inevitable. I print and I was so nervous, click so many time and I print 12 pages instead of 4. Shoot, not me! I ran uphill to my sch, nearly fell a number of times. The time I came back, yeah, I was marked Absent. I cant be praying for miracles that I do not deserve. In fact, God has alr done so much for me. So I smiled but I was crying inside cos I didn’t want to upset the teacher. My classmates did not help, they just told me not to worry so much. But it was hard to control my emotions, especially when im crying or hurt. I saw an encouragement in FB by Christie. Seriously, I feel she’s a great and cool person of Christ. The one that my bro says it’s the Quote of the day. To people, it seems like a nice encouragement or a nice sentence but to me… it actually meant everything, everything that I was facing now. I consult the teacher many times. Oftentimes I can see she was a little irritated at me. But I can thank God cos the teacher was kind to give me some pity marks. But I had to re-do the assignment again.

Editing Test
I ask my Shao Hui if he has any helping points for Final Cut Express, a movie editor. Well, he has so we went to the sound room. The things he teach or show, is really effective, especially when it comes to moving like only 1 or 2 frames. He taught us the colour correction, don’t know whats so cool about it but I just learn. Then okay! Its time for the test… and crap. Not enough comps so some of us, INCULDING ME, have to wait. I got real tired and I slept but cant sleep properly cos I still worried. Then after 1.5 hrs later. The teacher call us in. the crazy part was he just say 30 min to edit a movie and start! Omg. What the heck to do?? Edit what! Edit where! Which scene come first! WTC. Then there is a stupid boom in almost every shot! But cannot panic, must keep the cool!!

I did my best and lots of editing for the sounds which was useless cos teacher only wants to see continuity in the short film. Dam it! Then there are some things he tested us on and thank God!! He also tested on the colour correction which Shao hui taught me. Overall, didn’t exactly pass with an A :( maybe I got a B or so. After that, we ended 1 hr earlier than normal and omg, my friends all wanna watch movie.

Finding a taxi
Since I got CCA—Hi Club—I cannot go anywhere. But now, I got like 2.5 hrs before CCA start. So my friends want to watch Despicable Me but I cant come along. Then since MY Chin Long is on a cast, he need to get a taxi and book the movie. so fine! We walk downhill at NP. Then we waited at the sch gate for taxi. But its during peaks hours, how the earth can we find one? Then SH told us not to stand at the gate cos it may block other cars coming out. Besides, there was a girl down there alr. So we walk out more. We waved our hands couple of times but no taxi came. Well… taxis did come but they are occupied. We waited for long. Then shoot! We realized its during shifts, VERY BAD TIME TO GET TAXIS. Then we headed out even more so taxi can see us. Well, taxi did see us but we were too late. Other people keep getting them first. Then there was a time when we were freaking so close to get a taxi. A boy came out of nowhere, wave his hand and he got it. Oh my shit! I don’t believe this man! All my friends have at least say a vulgar word more than 5 times and im still struggling not to say anything that will displease God.

Then my friends got a little confused. Why? Why did I follow them even though im not going with them? why would I walk down the hill and try to get a taxi when I can just stay at sch? That was the Qn. I smiled… knowing full well what my Ans will be. ‘‘I just want to, isn’t it nice to accompany someone?’’ yeah… a pretty stupid Ans but not with stupid reasons. That’s me! So we got a cab in the end, but that cab came into NP, we ran to it but it drove off. Then it came back and said, ‘oh, didn’t see you guys’’. Haha! Phew, we finally got one!

Meeting the unexpected
Alright!! Now I got about 75 min to do… NOTHING. Oh well, might as well do some hw. Then Amir, a guy who I met at IS Programme for only 1 month. Im not even close to him. he’s like my friends’ friend’s friend. So I thought, I can maybe have dinner with him. so I put my comp down and did my hw as well as msg him. I listen to some songs in my Itunes and ooh!! Amir was right behind me. After he send a msg back, he saw me alr. Haha! Awesome! So I talked and ask if he was free for dinner. Well, he is free but he will not be eating much. So okay, I continued doing my work and omg again!!! I saw one of my Cell members Gabriel! Omg, that’s amazing. I was just thinking about him, haha. And no, im not gay to anyhow think of him.

So I continued my hw until I was super sian. I look at my watch. WTC. Only half hour past. Seriously, I was STILL doing my proposal. Then I got a message. Oh yay, Amir is free for dinner. Awesome! I packed my things and zooooommmm! Amir and I found a seat but Amir cant stay for long as he got CCA. Well, I also got CCA but it starts later. Then I went to buy food. And omg! I saw another cell member, Belicia. Haha. I used to call her B Tan. Omg, seeing her totally unbelievable. I never thought I’ll see anyone, but TWO OF MY CELL MEMBERS! Man, that is just out of this world! Then I ate with Amir and I saw my Hi Club seniors, haha. They were like 2 tables from us. Haha, cool! Got a little chat with Amir, hopefully, we can go out again, if I have time.

Hi-club last lesson
At 6.30, yay! HI CLUB!! Now, I seemed to really like Hi-club even though I don’t have much friends over there. So we did a rehearsal performance in class. Seriously, it was super fun. It my first time seeing Darren so hyper. He jumps to the table and signs with us. Haha. Then we re-do the rehearsal for about 5 times. To see Darren jump like that, it just reminds me of the days when he was high. Its been too long a while to see him like that. Don’t know whether you guys call that weird or hyper, but to me, it was just okay. I’ve seen many weird and funny and hyper people. If someone is not so hyper and is very quiet, that might be quite a challenge for me. A little something for Darren, if he ever ever ever see this blog, which I doubt 99.9999999%, he can find.

Darren is actually one of the most funniest, fun fun friend you have seen in your LIFE. But unlike most fun people, he also spends time alone. He’s not emo, he’s just deep. It took me time to figure out that thinking too much and thinking deeply are similar but NOT THE SAME. There is a very light grey line in between, but I’ll tell you the truth. Its becos of this light, small grey line, that makes a world’s difference. Somehow, I have this feeling, though Darren sees more bad in him, I see better in him. Don’t know why. Did I not care about his bad points? No… I know he’s bad points and I understand what he is going through at the moment. But I also care and love him that I can let him go. The only thing I always struggle is, what can I ever say to Darren when he needs a little encouragement??! It often brings me to stare at my phone for the longest of time only to cast it away. Darren is a fun guy, he have so much friend even though he does not see it. So he needs encouragement. There are so many people to talk to him. What more can I be to him? What am I to him exactly? Well, the answer always comes to my head, ‘‘just a friend…’’

Sometimes, I just feel like walking out of Darren’s life and say, ‘he doesn’t need me’. And that, I tell that to God. You know, everyone does have a need to be valued. But there are just some friends, you wish to be part of their lives, don’t u think? No matter how horrible or imperfect they are, you still want to be there with them. Sometimes, the smallest of things are indeed the best of things. The problem is, no one or not many actually see them. Simple Qn! You got 2 friends, both of them love you. One wants to spend time with you but the other buy gifts and sweet-talk you. Who would you want? Qn is obvious!! Obvious man! The whole world concentrates on the outer while God see the inner part. The ans is… SEE HOW FIRST! Cos things are not what it seem to be. So about Darren, haha… I guess God just wants me to let go. As it is written, ‘‘Too much of him and he will hate you’’.

Movie Review- Inception
Rating- 9.65/10__ 5 stars
From Christopher Nolan, the director of The Dark Knight, this movie is now announced the Best movie of the decade. A movie so powerful and captivating, it just simply blows you away, for good. It talks about a thief who steals ideas from a dream. His last job is said to bring him back to his children, his ‘real’ children. In desperate, he must accept it. He begins putting everyone in great danger. His past traumas begin to overwhelm his feelings and concentration and the job becomes life risking. The movie is indeed complex as it is a dream in a dream in a dream. Yes, complicated? It sure is, but as the story goes, it is step-by-step. So all you need to do is follow up or what they are talking about. If you ask me, I can say its quite similar to Matrix but it is way better and cooler. As what Chris Nolan said, what movies lack nowadays is IMAGINATION that I cannot help but agree with it. Inception is pure inspiration, totally ingenious and capturing. Come on! He folded a city in half and the anti-gravity fighting is not a computer effect, it is a prop and yes, the camera work is crazy. Great use of visual effects and slow motion. The movie explains almost every details of the dream job and although it is complex, it is still possible to understand the story. This movie will definitely make you thinking even after the movie. It is not something that you say its not bad and move on. If you don’t want to get lost, bring some brains along! I cannot say anything more, just go and watch it and be blown by it! Easily the most best film of the year. Im waiting for it to overpower Titanic. So sad, why it didn’t get nominations?? Best score and creativity. Watch it once, watch it twice, never got tired of it. Christopher Nolan is now one of the best director’s ever.

2^nd Movie Project (2 June, Wednesday)

Yay! Mr Hsien is letting us do another movie ever since The Vending Machine. We were spilt into 7 people per group and were suppose to do some movie shots with talents. So okay, lets go!

We first did the School’s Title and followed by different locations. Most of us must play a part so I cant forever be a actor. So the first few hours were kinda fun. We did walk from one end to another end. Yes, its tiring. There are times that I was a bit shocked at how many people are needed but we chose to multi task. There has been said that about 5 people are needed to do a movie. well, at least a crew of 5. But nvm, we reduce it until 2. So yeah, crazy multi tasking.

In the end, we get to view our shot and omg, its super funny. Boom was in shot, camera shakes, we laugh halfway in our speech. Stupid weird faces. Haha! Well, here are some pic!

Movie Review- Ip Man 2
Rating- 8.4/10__ 3.5 stars
Though many said this was the best fighting movie they have seen, I still think more could be done. Ip man 2 has more fighting, more stars, more slow motions, more enemies but I would still prefer the first. I kind of felt the movie was focused on the fighting and less on the storyboard. And the Chinese got it all wrong. Ip man was not such a patient, humble gentleman. He was a gangster who smokes and fight. There are some parts I cannot stand. First, stubborn and over-aggressive disciples of Ip man. Second, Twister’s useless blabber about Chinese. Third, the young Bruce lee kid at the end who tries to act tough. You could see whether someone acts like a enemy or someone who just insults for the sake of the script. And that someone is Twister. I wonder how he become the champion boxer when he’s such a sore loser. The best scene is obviously the Wet Market. But they cut out the part where Ip man do the chain of punches on two people in one take. I don’t know why they cut it out anyway. The next movie will be Jay Chou acting as Bruce lee.

Movie Making- First time, Day one

At long last, my first time working with my class to create our first short video. It was only 1.5 min. to me, I thought it was very very short but my friend told me it could drag until 3-4 hours later. Yeah, I could have guessed otherwise. I just never thought filming could be so tough. Its on the 7 of May, yes I know, its quite a long time ago. It when it all began when I first saw the how tough filming actually is. We were filming some movie about toilet pee and cold tea. Don’t know whether I have the video but my friend does. Don’t worry, I guess I’ll get him soon. So anyway, we begin filming, first scene… it HAD to be in the toilet. And it’s a guy toilet and one of our crew is a girl. Omg.

For me, I was the cameraman. So I didn’t do much, just observe, observe how proper filming is done. It actually looks quite complicated and yes, it IS complicated. One scene, took up 2 hrs. the timing was quite crazy. Right after shooting, I got CCA. Its about a Scene at the Vending Machine. The first ‘sian’ thing, we must take Field Log whenever we shot a take. Means like… Action…Cut! Fill up the timing. Action…Cut, fill up the time code. Its that sian. As for sounds, likewise. Cool thing is that, I was not in charge of the Log, im just a camera or assistant director. But I did tell myself, I filming is indeed not going to be easy. For the editing, wish I could help and experience it but my friend wanted to do the editing. Well, I guess for Individual Project. I will experience everything. I really really wonder, which is better? Experience or Passion? If a guy with Passion but no experience and a guy with experience but no Passion, which one will you choose?

Normally, people will say the guy with Passion. But really, I start to think, those people with experience, but no passion will be picked. I mean, who would pick a person who don’t have experience. Its like asking to fail for a project. Well, I choose not to worry so much even though it seems like a hard thing to do. Nonetheless, it was a wonderful experience.

I never knew how nice my Team was until I look back and just wish… I wish I was in that Team again. Yeah…

Movie Review- Iron Man 2
Rating- 8.8/10__ 4 stars
Robert Downey puts up a great performance in the second installment in Iron Man 2. As Tony Stark (Robert) gets worldwide fame, his internal body is deteriorating due to blood toxicity. More problems arise when Ivan (Mickey Rourke) comes with another Iron Man suit. He was the only one who manages to damage Iron Man. As a result, people starts to question if Iron Man can really save them. The plot is rather simple and Mickey seems to be the best role to play Ivan. The action is indeed more than the first but it still lacks originality. It started off well than the Grand Prix but in the end, it just over-do it. Robert plays Stark very well, but it was over the line when he becomes too self-centered. It was as if, he’s Peter Parker in Spiderman 3 (2007). Stunning effects as usual and it packs a punch this time. The only thing that I didn’t quite like was the end. Ivan died too fast. He gave a big ‘wow’ at the Grand Prix, in the end, he wears a stronger Iron man suit (don’t know where he got it from) better whips and he just died from a single power blast. Its weird. Scarlet Johansson stole the movie at the end, the director Jon who is acting as Stark’s bodyguard just gets a little irritating. However, despite all these, it is a good superhero movie.

Struggles with Work

The last few days have been the most frustrating and stressful time of my life. I can say its worse than O levels. I would have guessed Filming was never easy. Its very scary…when everyone else understand what the teacher is saying EXCEPT you. Its even worse when the teacher explains again, the people who don’t understand now understand and YOU STILL DON’T UNDERSTAND. Its super frustrating. I know im a super slow person and this is very bad. Cos in a fast world, I was left behind.

I observed everyone. Nobody reshoots their film unless its really bad. People take about 2, 3 days to film, film once but different location. Mine is, 3 FREAKING TIMES, but same location. Woah omg. Im about to die. My actor are hard to get, timing is super horrible, my planning is worse than a noob, my lead is having exams, sound person cant stay long in the night, haven’t prepared my props yet, my only outdoor shooting was during raining. Its so screwed up man. More and more problems arise, so much until my brother cant find a word to cheer me up.

Worries of life overwhelm me by miles until I find myself further and further away from my First Love. My life was becoming meaningless by the seconds and I told myself, I cant go on anymore…. In this difficult and seemingly impossible struggle, I sacrificed my sleeping time, came downstairs, on the fan and sat in the darkness. I told God, ‘is there a slightest hope?’

I so much so wanted to curse and swear but I knew fully, the Devil would have won. But how can I not swear, how can I not curse even when things got so so bad? I held it in myself, for so long. So I rant and rant on to God, in the midst of darkness. I poured my heart out, there was nothing that I hid, ‘how God, how? I cannot go on anymore. So close to give up, nothing is better, even if I surrender this short film, nothing will happen. I cannot find a way that you can solve my problem. God, I am stuck’.

Then I stop. I waited for 10 minutes. Yeah, I heard nothing. No even the slightest sound. There was no reply. I took a deep breath. I cried, and cried so hard, tears and sadness are inevitable. Then I realized, the hardest thing was to wait silently. A son’s heart crying to the Father, ‘Father, no matter the cost, no matter the problem, I just wanna say, im still here. I still love you’. And I cried even more, knowing that surrendering was the hardest and only thing I could ever submit. Its true, even though I poured my heart out, even though I took leap out of my comfort zone, even though I surrendered, God didn’t say a word.

We always thought that when we give ourselves to God, God will speak to us and lead and bring us through. Well, I can say, God didn’t say a word. Nothing changed, my problems are still the same. It didn’t disappear or vanished after that cry. Everything continues. Time still moves on. But the only thing I felt, was a short peace of silence. But I can tell you, that’s when the smallest light shines the brightness when all other lights are off.

Movie Review- Shutter Island
Rating- 8.7/10__ 4 stars
Director Martin Scorsese collaborates with Leonardo D again in this Mind-Manipulating movie. It starts off at a U.S marshal investigating a case where a dangerous patient escapes from the facility. Things get a little annoying when people are unwilling to cooperate with the marshals and everyone cannot give a truthful answer. Teddy Daniels (Leonardo D) suspects that his coming is a trap and becomes paranoid that he can trust no one. Stunning twist at the end that will leave you finding for more explanations. Not that the movie is so complicated until you don’t understand what on earth is happening, but rather on what you can conclude in the movie at the end. The movie will capture you and manipulate in thinking everyone is the enemy but its not. I have the say the acting of Leonardo still needs work as he cant cry yet and taking into consideration that the movie was shot 2 years ago which was edited and release this year. Recommended for those who loves suspense and thriller and investigation. A nice delivery of a thriller, good job Scorsese!

In IS Jumpstart Programmer.
In one of my modules, we were doing a roller coaster. Well, I wouldn’t say we really did a good job but I can say we did good enough. Indeed, ours was the smallest roller coaster. Got some pic on it. Nothing much to update, after the design, we just present it and he went home. Well, for me, I stayed in sch to read and go for CCA.

Cell BBQ
One of the rarest event, Cell BBQ. The good thing is that we don’t have to pay for the BBQ. Or I don’t recall paying for it. It was actually very good and I get to set up. I didn’t set up the fire though, only the charcoal. Oh man, its been too long since I had BBQ. Wanted to invite some friends but they were not free. So we played guitar Hero but I totally sucked at that game. Take some cool candid shots but not using my phone. In the end, we played Halo 3 and omg! I keep dying, I never play Playstation until I forgotten how to use it. Love melted marshmallow loads. They are my favorite for every BBQ. It was rather the best thing that happen to Cell however, I thought I could have done better to bold with the others. After that, my Cell leader told me she was going to Japan.

Recent News
I love my course in FSV. My class is an awesome class. It has a mixed characteristics for my classmates and yes, we do a lot of stupid stuff as well. Right now, filming is taking up a lot of my time and as u know, my time management sucks. Funny class I have here. They even film me singing. Yeah… the best and dumbest thing they have ever done is to film how cool we are IN FRONT OF THE FREAKING ENIGEERNING BLOCK. Omg! Everyone were like looking at us. And we wish to say they chose the wrong course. Yeah, very ego. And I did not say it! Then we did a running handcam shot. Super nice, I have to admit. But the real shot was a little bad. The rehearsal part was nice.

And at last, my 3 min short movie is done. Not yet edited but im just so glad its done. Must do my best not to be so ambitious. I just thank God its over.

Movie Review- Clash of the Titans (2010)
Rating- 8/10__3 stars

By the director of Unleash and Transporter 2, this movie is counted as a disappointment. Tons of efforts was put into it but it just didn’t bring out feeling that the viewers would want to watch it again. The visual graphics are pretty cool, but too much of it, the movie becomes very CGI-ed, and the fighting scenes will look unrealistic. For those who have not watched the classic version, they would probably think it was not very good as well. The storyline compared to the classic to totally off, Perseus is supposed to fall in love with the princess so he will go and kill the kraken. He’s not supposed to kill the kraken just to have revenge on Hades. It becomes like a typical Hollywood movie with revenge, fight here fight there and tada, a happy ending… no! it’s not it. And the words the people say are not even appropriate. In olden times, people don’t say ‘fail’, they say ‘fall’. Like, ‘’when the men fall’’, not ‘when men fail’. And no one can say harsh words like ‘‘Hell, or Bitch’’. I mean, it just does not go well with old times. If you ask me, I would have push the blame on the writer. True enough, there is non-stop action but its just too fast. Every deaths is very fast, there is no Cerberus(two-headed dog) and the scorpions are supposed to come from Medusa’s blood. Its so messed up. Good use of slow motion but there are still some edgy times. The thing is, the mission was supposed to be near impossible but it seems as if the characters themselves are quite brainless and charge aimlessly. The more you watch it, the more I think its just brawns and no brains. I would give this a miss. This will show mostly all remakes cannot beat over the original.
